Minus The Bear

OceanStorm [Edit] [Delete] 16 replies 00:31, 16 September '06

Just been downloading a few songs by them and I really like them. Reminds me of a cross between the Dismemberment Plan and indie-pop stuff like Death Cab, with a bit of bands like Thursday thrown in I guess. What's the best album to start with?

i really enjoyed them, their guitarist was brilliant, kept shouting 'YEAH' in a very silly voice

      • their guitarist

is amazing. he played in botch as well.

fine plus 2 points is probably their best song.

    • I downloaded

Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!! for the name alone. Good song and all, but not really anything to do with monkeys, knives or fights. Puts me in mind of a less soft version of Nada Surf.

      • says who?

it would indeed be lovely, though.

they got a new record in the pipeline then?

        • good news

i missed them last time through laziness. for the record, i think menos el oso is the best thing they've done. it has the least cringey lyrics and is pretty complete as an album.

          • Its a shit name for a band

that was petty of me wasn't it?

i saw them a couple of times on the last tour, they make me jig like no one else.
