so i found an old compilation from the front of Melody Maker in 2000, and i really like a lot of the songs on there. Hmm, Lauren Laverne solo song, hmm, 'One Armed Scissor', hmm, QOTSA live track too.
But none of them were as exciting to listen to again as 'The Law' by King Adora.
i know that they're nowhere near as good as the bands they were ripping off (early Manics basically but with more talk about sex than about...well anything else really) and that they were musically the 2000 equivalent of Towers Of London. And yes i know that this post probably looks like a Martbowski-style red rag to DiSers with more discernable taste.
But that police siren/guitar intro makes me want to stay up all night bobbing for apples in a bowl of cheap mascara.
In other news i'm going away for a week. Bye!
