Everyone has them, total shit. Confess all.
they're the rules of threads like these
I cant remember the last bad album i bought, though im dissapointed with the new comets on fire album.
Misery Loves Company
RATM - (second album)
revolver! bulls on parade! lots of other good things!
and they sound like wolfmother
before Avatar? (They don't sound like Wolfmother)
I own very little s'it, but there's a few that don't get listened too much:
1) Engineers - Engineers: Great live band, but album is too polished, enjoyed muchly on a trip to Ukraine by me though...
2) Mogwai - Young Team: I went through a Post-Rock phase the way most 13 year old go through "Nu-metal" phases, I get bored by it easily.
3) DJ Format - Music For The Mature B Boy: Only has one track I like, though that track is "CHUNE". Vicious Battle Raps.
4) Pretty Girls Make Graves - Elan Vital: First track alright, but I was hoping it'd be more punky. Same with the new Bronx album actually...
5) Deftones - Adrenaline: Bought because I love t'Tones, bottom of the pile 'cause it ain't that great.
Someone gave me whsmith vouchers:(
i have that
is obviously a modern day classic.
it's a shining becon of goodness compared to Return of Saturn...
placebo - ghosts or smething (dont remeber the title)
foo fighters - in your honour (i regreeted buying this minutes after putting it on)
white stripes - get behind me (had high hopes after elephant, which i loved. disappointing)
lostprophets - start something (loved first album. shame)
audioslave - first album (soundgarden + rage = shit???)
I bouht it when shitfaced.
The Kennedy Soundtrack - Tales of 2 cities
Deftones - Adrenaline
The Bluetones - Return to last chance saloon
Amen - Amen
No Doubt - Beacon Street Collection
-Papa Roach debut
-Grand Theft Audio (acouple of good songs)
-Supergrass - Life on other planets (bought because of Grace)
-Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl
That's the best they've done
I played Howl a couple of times, didn't do anything for me.
of last week....
some of you guys have got shit record collections
Blondie - Best Of
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Ramones - The Chrysalis Years
Feeder - Swim
John Vanderslice - I have no idea what its called, but its a compilation.
Its full of 80's rubbish and her 90's comeback attempts. Seriously. I like the first few. I like Blondie.
But only half.
I don't really have many shit ones, just 'meh' ones.
Five - Invincible (well okay, that is a shit album)
Katy Rose - Because I Can (she's Avril Lavign-y. I still like some songs but the rest are pish)
Muse - Absolution (Only got it for Time Is Running Out, really)
And a bunch of compilations from when I was ten, I guess.
Silent Alarm is WANK
someone gave me a robbie williams album once, i dont own it anymore though, also...
Oasis - Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants
New Found Glory
and other shit american pop punk crap
and I won't count promos/demos I've been given to review as the list of crap ones is obviously endless.
1) My Own Prison by Creed
2) Human Clay by Creed
3) The Rising Tide by Sunny Day Real Estate
4) Hand Me Down by Falling Forward
5) Falling Forward by Willy Porter
I have all sorts of ska punk, both Avril Lavigne albums (and a few of her singles), both Aqua albums and a few Meat Loaf records but I love them all.
Spunge - The Story So Far...
Kenisia - Nothing To Say
Waterdown - The Files You Have on Me
Hundred Reasons - Shatterproof is not a Challenge
Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
really do. have a list:
1) Creed - Human Clay
from some bizarre grunge-lite phase i went through. um?
2) Papa Roach - Lovehatetragedy
it features a cover of Gouge Away. hdepdnhasdlsdhjfgkglgk.
3) Stoopi / Latch - split album
dodgy essex metalcore x 2 on org records. utter turd.
4) Little Giant Drug - Prismcast
more grunge-lite, this time a side project of someone from Napalm Death (seriously). again on org.
5) Silverchair - Frogstomp
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. hah. hah. hahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
in no order cos it's all pretty bad...
1. Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals
2. Dodgy - Free Peace Sweet
3. Cast - All Change
4. Levellers - One Way of Life
5. Moby - Play
Whoever said "Non Stop Erotic Cabaret" is a pleb.
That is a genuwine classic of the highest order. Seriously, get your ears tested.
"(I am so over my black phase)"
That post needs some serious re-appraisal.
a bottom 5 would depress me too much
some stinkers over the years, the worst being:
Whirlwind Heat - Do rabbits wonder Korn - Life is Peachy
Foo Fighters - One by One
Sweatmaster - Sharp cut
The Datsuns - s/t
Mando Diao-can't remember name
The Strokes-Room on fire
Avril Lavigne - let go
Texas - Greatest Hits
I'll just go sit in the corner m'thinks
Mind i'm only young
We said share, not TOTALLY HUMILATE YOURSELF.
seriously though, we done for a full and frank confession.
Says it all really.
One of the songs of the decade.
where there is DIDO in that list????
Black Dice told me so.
Still, I like it, it's a bit samey but they're all TOOONS.
I only got it on the "second release" hype.
I just put it on again. I haven't listened to it in years and forgot how good it actually is. It goes on the top of my shinily produced indie pile along with spoon, AWESOME.
Unfortunately I have no money and there's a lot of stuff I want to buy.
I'll get it soon though. Mark my words.
Very clever, very modern....
Average albums I own that are lucky to get played once a year include:
5. Murder City Devils - Murder City Devils
4. United by Fate - Rival Schools
3. S/T - Masters of Illusion
2. Drink Me - Queen Adreena
1. Day I forgot - Pete Yorn
