unfairly treated albums?
i nominate Get Up Kids - On A Wire. got ripped to shreds because their fanbase was an emo/punk one and so when they made a very decent beatles-esque indie rock record it had no chance to crossover and died a death.
next they released a bad attempt to recall the glories of 'something to write home about', and split up. just goes to show how following different musical ideas can righteously fuck your career if your fanbase is a stupidly cliquey one.
anyone else?
