    • No, I missed it. :(

I might pop along tonight for Part Chimp though, or Saturday for Radioactive Man. The Spinto band soon.....

        • Nah. I really should get along to one of these though.

But there are sooo many gigs to get to. Spinto Band, Seth Lakeman, Seafood (Cambridge).

          • aye

cut chemist on the 31st aug, and the rapture in october. but they are in the waterfront which is shit. arts centre is far superior.

            easy_rob @therapyrock | 6 Aug '06, 01:35 | X
            • Yes. Waterfront is rubbish. The sound is normall atrocious,

and the people don't seem as nice at gigs there. The Arts Centre looks lovely, is cheap to get in and for drinks and the sound ain't too bad either. Arts Centre > Marquee > Waterfront > Ferryboat > UEA

              • ive

never been to the marquee any good? spinto band will be ace.

                easy_rob @therapyrock | 6 Aug '06, 01:52 | X
                • Casiotone For The Painfully Alone played there.

The sound isn't great, but it still beats the Waterfront for atmoshpere.

  • the problem with the east

is that it's just a bit pointless.

The South has money and access to French wine.

The North has tough blokes, and Scotland to lend a hand.

Even the West has the curry mile and loads of well-built Welsh miners.

The East has naff all. Yeah UEA has the best creative writing course in the country, but there's only so far a well written blurb is gonna take you.

Ultimately, this is why most people just talk about the "North East", the "South East", and even the "East Midlands". It's just a polite way of saying that the whole idea of 'the East' is a bit crap. :)

    • Thanks for that analysis.

T'was an insight. Regardless, Patrick Wolf, 9th October at The Waterfront. Ace-o.

  • Is this not just one of the dates of a whole

tour that he's doing? The 'rescheduled' one that he was supposed to do in July, albeit with far less dates :s
