Fears of a Radiohead split may now be realised after Thom Yorke; Lead singer the band , ended up in hospital last night after an alcohol induced accident in a bar in Austin, Texas.
The normally docile singer had reportedly been enjoying a night off from Radiohead and celebrating the success of his new solo album, The Eraser, when he fell from a table whilst singing and playing air guitar along to Meatloafs 1977 hit "Bat out of hell", breaking two bones in his left hand and injuring his right eye.
Before the episode Yorke is quoted as saying the following: "I hate them all, I F***ing hate them all. Jonny (Greenwood, guitarist) has a stupid hair cut and his brother (Colin, Bassist) can't dance. And the drummer is a baldy tw*t!".
When asked about the remaining band member that he hadn't slandered, Ed (O'brien, guitarist), he responded simply with: "Who? He a roadie or summat ?".
Yorke is expected to be in hospital for the next few days, though Bandmate Jonny has reportedly said "now he's f***ed the other eye up at least he'll look f***ing normal, if a little lazy".
Thom Yorke's album was released two weeks ago.
