Check it ya'all. Great stuff.
The Early Years vision is to create washes of psychedelic guitar noises meshed in with feedback, drones, distortion and wah set against a strong metronomic beat. The Early Years admire the noises of Mogwai, Acid Mother's Temple, Spiritiualized, all Sonic Booms stuff, Neu, Can, Tortoise, 33.3, Isotope 217, Jeff Parker, Stars of the Lid, The Teardrop Explodes, 60's Garage music and psychedelia.
but a trip to the Co-op won in the end. Damn you food and beer!
that's breaks co-op
Have yet to find the new one !
i sat outside near the back of the tent - could still hear everything - they were pretty good.
are a rubbish band.
Not sure how it would have worked in the lounge tent though....
liked them too.
Was it on the NME blog thing that was otherwise all about their tent that Eno was mentioned? Was he genuinely there?
I saw them and was quietly impressed - bit post-baggy-Secret Machines to completely dismiss them with glib comparisons.
he lives nearby (that area of oxfordshire is like a stars hotspot.. what with bob harris living in steventon and that)
used to be called 'whispering bob' in honour of bob harris
indeed they were brilliant! Even if they were unhappy with their sound :( but I thought they were top, oh yes!
I WIN !
as they wer eon first on Sunday and i was still trying to remember how my head tells my body to do things like function properly. And eat muffins.
But their records have been astoundingly good so far.
is amazing. 'brown hearts' will give jason pierce a few sleepless nights...
First on on Sunday was Skull Fuck. Much, much better.
Skull Thrash and they were hilarious, they were so bad.
The Early Years however... best band of the weekend by a mile.
But was Eno really there?
and he went up to phil the drummer and said he reminded him of klaus dinger - not to look at, but his krautrock beat!
