Hold Steady

I see from flyers handed out at the roundhouse show last night that they are over in May as support for the rescheduled Counting Crows tour. And they have free dates on 15th and 17th May - around the cardiff show. Ideal opportunity for them to play ATP, yes?

What happens with the Pavillion?

I was at the Patton/Melvins atp and the pavillion wasn't in use for bands.
It seems like a shit place to have bands on.
Does it become the second stage? and Reds the smallest stage then?
Is it not really echo-ey and drowned about by the arcade machines at the back and all the people trudging past?
Are they even using it for the May ones? I hope not.
It worked out fine at the last NBC and that had 40+ bands on.

  people complain about waiting but if you book in advance and turn up at the right time it's never a problem. takes about an hour and a half depending on traffic.

      According to a few people on lastfm, Melt Banana are down on the flyer as playing at this.
      
      No offical confirmation yet but this happened with Harvey Milk for the fans one the other day and they've since been confirmed for that.
      
      If it is true then it's excellent news! They're definitely the kind of band we need at this. It's gonna be mosh pit time again like Taraf De Haidouks and The Locust at the last one!
