i was really looking to it as well. damn.
then can get someone to fill in.
on the phone to Brian Molko already....
but they were wank at reading in 2006 - in fact i've never seen them have a good festival show (although strangely were excellent at Wembley Arena later that year, go figure?)
but that was mostly to the on-screen boobfest when they went off stage for half an hour
topped only by Placebo coming back on stage to the biggest booing of their life and much of the crowd shouting, "we want tits!"
unlikely - they'll probably extend the set times on the main stage. or more unlikely, move someone from radio 1 stage to main stage (but unlikely due to clash in styles).
Although I still fail to see why Feeder are playing on the Sunday.
they were a definite curio. Can't see them finding anyone else at this late stage :-/
i sold my tickets yesterday and i was really pissed off at missing slipknot!
i feel a bit better now
that's so so so so so cack. and mildly ironic seeing as the last time i saw Slipknot and 'tallica on the same bill, Joey filled in for Lars, not really a surprise he can't return the favour!
every UK festival I've been at has suffered a major cancellation.... Bjork @ WATC, MIA @ latitude, Mystery Jets @ Standon Calling, Dan Deacon @ Field Day and now this.
it's kinda unlikely this is your fault. But just in case I'm gonna have to track you down and beat you to death with your own shoes. I'm sorry but you brought this on yourself.
Without them that Sunday manin stage line-up is pretty weak (until Metallica).
Feeder and Avenged Sevenfold will feel my anger.
Jordison's good but he's not un-matchable.
I will accept Machine Head as a late replacement or else i'm rioting.
about not going now. Slipknot & mind-altering drugs was something I was NOT looking forward to missing.
Everybody else bumped up one.
and is this confirmed, or your own guess?
And it's confirmed on their myspace.
and this. i don't guess
i wasn't saying you had - it just wasn't clear. good to know they've got something sorted - might have to rethink my plans for sunday now.
If you like that sort of thing they're worth seeing. And like i said, they cover Slipknot, 'Eyeless' in fact.
slipknot have about three drummers? i know the other two play dustbins or something but surely between them they could compensate?
