I can imagine it will be a big fat zero from the the crazy DIS kids.
I normally try and go as it's only a 20 minute car ride for me - but this year the line-up was dire. i was only interested in seeing Muse and The Prodigy and the organisers thought it would be a good idea for them to clash (which makes little sense as The Prodigy are still very popular round these parts of Essex).
But, alas, I sold my tickets so I'm not there - going to see the cricket instead!
.. to go on Sunday. I only live down the road from Chelmsford, and should be able to get a ticket for about £40 if I leave it late enough. The Charlatans and Chemical Brothers? That'll do for me
I've never been, is it a wonderful as I've heard?
if you like 24hr a day helicopters overhead, being sniffer dogged upon entering the arena, queueing for beer tokens then queuing for beers.
I am working there so hopefully it won't be that bad.
Overall, yeah it tends to be pretty lame, but if you just ignore a lot of things there are some good bands playing you only have as much fun as you want to my old man always said
I actually really enjoyed myself last year, went in with a open mind and surprised myself - of course, it helped that I got the center spot on the rail for The Stooges!
Its really not THAT bad. I can't say i've ever been sniffer dogged upon before - how exciting :)
However I fear the weather this weekend will be fucking poojab!!!
Dry on Sunday apparently.
Going to try and get away to see The Hold Steady, Guillemots, Dodos and Girls Aloud!
