I went and it as damn good. I mean sure I stayed away from most of the music, apart from Polar Bear who played a set of mostly new matterial that sounded really special (New album out in two weeks aparently). #
Robots in Disguies where as fun as they ever are, but especialy if you are a 14 year old boosh fan, which I'm not so I found them ok then went to the comedy tent.
The comedy tent was amazing every act was pretty much pure gold. There are so many brilliant moments, from Garth Meranghi doing a book reading and Matt Berry doing a solo version of One Track Lover from Darkplaces on accoustic guitar with rap by the audiance. Ross Nobel was freakin awsome as always, Robn ince likewise. Arj Barker of Flight of the Concords 'Fame' was damn good and I wandered past him twice, I well should of said hello. Frankie Boyle was a bit disapointing mind which was a shame as I was looking forward to him :(
The Mighty Boosh live band where excelent they had been practising their asses off by the sounds of it. Julian can shred on the guitar and Gitboard/Keytar playin jazz, metal and funk amongnst others. Noel was a ace front man workin the crowd and taking the piss. They did loadsa songs all from the show and that kinda thing but fully fleshed out into acctual songs. Costume and charecter changes apleanty. They even had fireworks, glitter cannons, giant inflatable eels, charlie, massive flames and pirate ships.
It was alot of fun and alot better than I expected they really pulled it off. I' just as suprised as you don't worry...
Viva La Boosh!!!
