What actually happened: She asked, they said no
though I did get this in my inbox from Seetickets this morning:
"We are writing to let you know that there are a limited amount of tickets left for what’s sure to be the parties of the year – Glastonbury 2008 !
With the met office predicting a settled weekend for the festival and a line-up that has something for everyone, it’s sure to go down in history as one of the best festivals yet. So don’t sit and watch it on the t.v, wishing you were there, book now and make sure you are."
Seems a little desperate.
Ungrammatical, and horrible. It's not some Jimmy Choo launch Alexa Chung might turn up for*, it's a sodding festival!
(* Alright, apart from VIP backstage)
I'd hate to be in the same field as anything associated with Madonna. She's an idiot.
considering there is only about 10,000 tickets left which will probably get sold, and Glastonbury is probably the most "aware" festival in terms of charities and stuff.
"So even though you've not sold out, you'll still have more people on site than any other UK festival? Sorry not goo enough"
Maybe sit in front of the fire to soften up for a bit...
