It's been reported the Hold Steady have cancelled, but nobody's entirely sure. Two Gallants definitely have, though.
i have a gut feeling LOW will cancel, as they have no dates around the festival and i cant see them comin to europe just for it.
i hope they dont though
They're in Sweden the week before: http://www.myspace.com/low
The Hold Steady have pulled out.
Worse news: they've been replaced by the Pigeon Detectives.
First, Truck cancelled.
Now, one of the best live bands i've seen this year being replaced with one of the worst bands of all time
coming to the warm up parties jordan?
im curating the monday one innit.
and i enjoy the pigeons live.

only one nasty clash. On Sat Low & Dr. Robert / PP Arnold
sunday on the rising stage looks very good. will probably leave to see pigeons and spiritualised though
But I had an amazing time so I'm gutted not to be going. It's a great little fest
But there is enough to whet the appetite and hold my attention over the course of it:
Richmond Fontaine, !!!, Gruff Rhys, Broken Family Band, Maps, Spiritualized.
I also enjoyed the comedy last year
The only thing to avoid at all costs, unless you intend to throw things at them / persuade them to give up playing music forever, are the truly abysmal Pigeon Detectives
they are a good live band ffs!
- personally thought they were the worst live band i've seen this year, there was just something about them that I found really annoying.
well i guess i only saw them in smaller venues, maybe they have lost something. when they played our clubnight a year or so back they tore the room up.
they're playing Pigeon Detectives songs, which is always going to let down any live show.
woop! should be fun despite band cancellations/ a lineup that doesn't seem as good as last year..
I'm bloody knackered, have tinnitus and a sore throat and will have to take my legs' word for it that I still have ankles. Nic Offer, this is your fault.
These things were great: !!!, Spoon, Gruff Rhys, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, the Dirty Backbeats, Jeremy Warmsley, TSDOLE, El Pussycat Ska Simple Kid's Average Man/Paranoid mashup, the Cud karaoke, the weather, the camerarderie
Not so great: getting covered in lager during the Rumble Strips, Cherry Ghost, Maps (everyone else I've seen has them down as a highlight but they didn't quite do it for me), the Concretes, a friend of a friend getting a free shot from a barman who claimed to know me (I didn't know anyone working as a barman there, natch)
Broken Family Band, Richmond Fontaine, Gruff Rhys, Sophie Ellis-Bextor (surprisingly entertaining), Divine Comedy, !!!, Stephanie Dosen
The weather, the real ale tent, good organisation and facilities, and the general atmosphere at all times.
Finally one major plus point, being able to see all the bands I wanted to see. Was slightly worried beforehand that there might have been capacity issues with the indoor and smaller stages.
There being no alternatives on any of the other stages when The P***** D********** were playing
Spiritualised AM being at times somewhat dull and in general not ideal last night headliners
Will definately be back next year
