dont they announce the currator about now?anyone any ideas?
would be an amazing curator.
john zorn, bjork, dalek, etc
so good last xmas
Almost a game of 'how many old great krautrock bands can I get to reform?'
have a punt onna Julian Cope ATP...
thurton should be punished for that weekend
so much time of last year eating because there was fucking NOTHING to watch. At the end I was clawing at the walls for some more melody!
who isn't a musicain to curate it - david lynch! Ha, yeah right.
jake and dinos chapman did it!!
surely it's about fucking time. It is almost embarrasing he hasn't been asked yet.
whos currating yet?
but i've been given hints
and apparently the lineup will be pretty special
be announced pretty soonish
portishead.they better pick some good shit.i somehow think they might do
there is no way i'm missing this
in portishead but i still heartily agree.
for barry and co to recover a bit?
seeing as tickets were still avaliable for ages after being released there doesn't have to be a mad rush to buy them as soon as they are released.
I'd probably wait for a few bands to be announced first.
I'm getting tinges of excitement now.
First bands to be confirmed this week!
but i don't think i could miss an atp now
this is more correct. i'll pretend to be waiting for some bands to confirm that i love but i know i'll end up going anyway.
will just have to pack a hot water bottle
I'm so so so so so so so excited about this. But this is DECEMBER. I can't think that far ahead.
for us to press refresh on :D
i predict tomorrow afternoon.
Barry and his crew will be off to Primavera (like myself) tomorrow so yeah some news today would be nice.
I THINK I JUST HAD AN ORGASM!
i love been proved wrong
and it can only get better from here?!
me smiling, whether i go or not
have just been added to the line-up page. I am now very happy indeed.
that's actually evil can someone please make it december now please
hoping for some more additions tonight?
news normally seems to arrive on a Friday afternoon / evening doesn't it.
looking at the atp website 3 times a day waiting for new additions.where are they barry?
they're on their hols.
recovering from Primavera if they feel anything like me 2 weeks on. Both myself and Barry are old gits though.
Classic retort from ATP.
Oh and Om have confirmed.
How about Dumpy's Rusty Nuts or Badger Bell?
would be perfect.
Wouldn't the Pixies be ace as curators or MBV ?
Fugazi would be great curators of ATP, something I'd love to see, but since they refused to play said festival a few years ago I imagine it would probably never happen.
they only do/did free festivals
seems all the 2 person chalets are about to sellout! better be quick coupley people!
wegottickets said it was sold out, but it processed
i predict announcements for around 6pm.
if we dont get any, then barry is a lying badun.
is a bit ambiguous, I predict tomorrow!
A Hawk And A Hacksaw
but so far not the best ATP line up.
have been added
have also been added if anyone's interested.
If it's as cold as last year, it's going to need to be dancetastic to keep warm in there :)
in there wasn't it. Let's hope the Public Enemy rumour is true.
hot toddy action.
that Glenn Branca was also added yesterday (in the same news item as Boris) and then all mention of him was removed? Weird.
didnt see that. odd.
if they did an electric guitar ensemble piece... thurston has done one with him before...
Just booked my ticket for this. Panicked a bit when the site said 3 berths were selling quickly. I can't wait.
i get paid and the party chalet buying commences :D
and only a few 7 berths left. Seems to be selling more quickly than last year. Looks like my panic last week wasn't misplaced after all.
2,3 and 7 person chalets all gone!
this is selling so quick!
JAH SHAKA SOUNDSYSTEM !
That really is a surprise...single-deck reggae action at ATP! The line-up just keeps getting better...can someone invite Linton Kwesi Johnson please?
if not i'll try to organise a challet on monday if there's any interest. i think one or two friends want to come if they can get the time off, but anyone wants to make it up to six i'll be on it.
that the vast majority of chalets are 4 beds
i'm going now.
you walking there very s l o w l y?
so who's in your party chalet? you, sarky, chunty... aaaand...
you told me on sunday
Sunn and Julian Cope doing my wall at ATP? Probably not but it would be great!
chances are they will may. it has been one before live. but then there could also be a performance of alter too... never know.
still its gonna be ace!
doom in the winter
and you know what? I only got tickets today!!!!!!! hahahah
after Supersonic, I'm desperate to see Sunn 0))) again.
on Sunday after I saw Sunn O))) at Dour that they would be great in the dome at NBC
stupid friends don't want to go and I am wetting myself with anticipation.
fuck fuck fuck! Excuse my language but i neeeed to go to this!
regarding queues and peopel not getting in last xmas for some bands get resolved?
There was a big queue for Battles, and some got turned away. Not sure why they weren't put on the main stage downstairs.
Think some people may have been turned away from Shellac's 2nd set, but they'd played on the main stage the previous day, so everyone had already had a chance to see them.
Other than that, I didn't see any queueing or capacity problems.
at the last two were joanna newsom (and that was because she asked to play in the smaller space and was arguably one of the biggest draws of the weekend), a bit of a queue for battles (but not too long), and queues for daniel johnston when he played the smallest stage. basically you just need to get there a little beforehand if you know its gonna be busy.
but other than that it was perfect.
should have been in there for Les Savy Fav beforehand and it wouldnt have been a problem!
there were queues with Battles, as i was already at the centre stage after watching Les Savy Fav.
But yeah, as much as the pavilion stage had its critics at the fans one, there certainly was a mass improvement on queues after the Thurston Moore atp, and i think everyone got to see who they wanted.
Right, now i need to find at least 3 other people who want to go in december.
the last NBC was a bit of a mess.
hopefully having a bunch of these smaller acts will mean that they're spending a lot of money on some BIG NAME HEADLINERS. oh yes.
already, Jamie to be fair.
I have seen rumours for the PidJH, and Public Enemy which would both be sweet!
yeh i know there's some biggish ones, but i'm thinking there's a few really big headliners for the main arena to be announced...
the other rumour i heard was Kraftwerk...also The Knife would be amazing...
Kraftwerk would be extraordinary. But I can't see it happening. Too expensive.
than truck of course is the fact that 'the last' of the self catered 4 and 6 person chalets are now sale. whatever that means. either way, hurry up folks!
anyone not sorted their chalet/who they're sharing with yet? Lemonbrick?Amyone?
I'm so disorganised.
we're sorting it out in a few days!
I feel warm and drunk. mmmmmmmmmmm
i am listening to the national. i heart them.
I have heard none of their musique.
can someone alert me if anyone has roomage at the atp inn at christmas time. i am all ready to commit to the nightmarish cause.
i just booked a 4-berth party chalet, wheeeee!
i'll apologise in advance if i ask a lot of silly questions, as i'm an atp virgin.
how i love ye
on google earth. way old pictures, the pool isn't even there!
someone kill me.
AND SO IS GLENN BRANCA!!!
Me, Pieces_of_reece and some other people got scared at how quickly the tickets were selling so engaged in some panic buying.
che me, joe, sophie, bamos, phil and lottie should be going ahead v. soon!
to the line up, it was becoming far too doomy...
I love Jerry
we got a challet!!wooo-hoo-woo hoo woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
something soon i'm going to kill myself.
i tried not to post, I TRIED...
surely you have something else to look forward to?!
i live in chichester
(er...apart from this of course)
i'm not desperate, it's just fun to get new announcements :D
Only a few 4 bed ones remaining...
room only yeh. i need to learn to read
150 quids worth of sexual favours.
Please announce more acts though
Are we at that stage where no more "headliners" are announced. We know Atavist and the like must be going - is there much more space?
big names very often get announced very close to the end... i seem to remember Einsturzende being the last band announced for Dirty Three
just for Sparklehorse, Boris, Aphex, H&AH, Autolux, Seasick Steve, Ladytron and erm... Portishead!
Anything else is a bonus really :)
and glen branca and thurston moore!!!
do wish they'd announce more though
they might be busy sorting out april and may ready to announce them in the next month or so :D
are playing, according to a profile piece in today's Guardian.
Not exactly a big name, though.
Wonder if anything will come of the Public Enemy / Kraftwerk / PJ Harvey rumours?
And whay haven't they added the Heads yet?
the PE and Kraft will be just that, silly rumours. but to be honest i hope they dont keep adding more and more bristol acts (other than big names of course!).
interesting that PJH has announced a bristol date.
to atp or portishead though?
at the autecre one.only band i saw that weekend
Anyway, Olive and Morcheeba please. fingers crossed
I'll sell my fucking ticket if they play
I thought the Olive would give it away
and couldn't leave the challet.i did get to watch the atp tv channel all weekend though
In that case, here's hoping for a Sneaker Pimps reunion
in announcements EVA? i am curious as to the behind the scenes shenanigans.
Wonder if Mum will be added given that they are playing the Scala a couple of days afterwards.
they have dates elsewhere on every night of the fest
nevermind serves me right for missing them at Primavera
they better announce someone REALLY good when they decide to announce more!
Get in. Also The Horrors, Malcom Middleton, Joe Volk, Lucky Luke and the Heads. I hope the next few announcements aren't just Invada bands or they could just hold the whole thing in Bristol.
quite surprised by the Horrors.
Fantastic news. Only recently got into them and was really hoping they'd get booked for ATP (given the Portishead connection). An already brilliant line-up just got even better.
are without doubt the worst band i have ever seen.and ive seen many many bad bands.maybe ill give them a second chance though.i saw them at supersonic and was in a foul mood
are ace though
at supersonic! How were they the worst band you've ever seen?
they were the best band a Supersonic!
are also unofficially confirmed, both on Invada.
i think that leaves about 15 or slightly more acts tbc...
The Horrors though. Urm....
The Horrors. This makes me smile and want to mock.
The Horrors!!! Chrome Hoof!!! Malcolm Middleton!!!! I'm so excited.
ps anyone who knocks The Horrors without having listened to them or seeing them live is seriously missing out.
hasnt impressed me much, the fact that they're basically ripping off Screaming Lord Sutch's Joe Meek singles and that people say they're great live means i'm quite looking forward to em :D
covered transmission (I think) by joy division. totally made it their own.
But really, the Horrors are shit.
Does anyone know if it's likely that any more bands will be added?
43 at dirty 3 one
30 at nightmare so far
is ed going?batman's going they seemed to forge quite a friendship at dirty 3
is that the right word?i really don't know
He told me about Batman - he sounds ace!
our resident atp street-teamer hasn't started a countdown? just under 3 months to go!
UPDATE ON CONFIRMATIONS.
We will be announcing some more bands for Nightmare Before Christmas over the next few days, there are plenty more to come, we are just waiting on confirmations - so watch this space!!!
Chalets remaining are as follows; there are a couple of 6 berth room only left on gigantic.com, there is one 6 berth room only on wegottickets.com.
There are 4 and 6 berth self catering available on wegottickets.com, seetickets.com and gigantic.com, although not many, we are very close to selling out, and expect to do so very soon.
maybe they're trying to make sure i'd not died considering my lack of impatient posting recently :D
Has anyone receive theirs yet?
i think they all come in the week or so before the fest
I mean, they keep saying there will be confirmations in the next few days and then nothing happens!
if they announce it around the same time they did last year, announcement of the pitchfork one should happen in around a month so we'll at least find out some bands for that!
waiting for these 'new announcements in the next few days'.
are all doing Don't Look Backs!!
there will be real announcements in the next few days though. Maybe.
It's nearly sold out (Gigantic are the only ticket sellers with any left), is it not possible that a big name headliner (Bjork perhaps?) has a clause in their contract stating that they can't be announced until all tickets are sold?
huge wishful thinking! but a nice thought.
but wouldn't ATP want to announce a big-name act as soon as they knew about them in order to help ticket sales?
And if you were a big-name act, wouldn't you want a chance for at least some of your fans to get tickets?
as i think they knew it would sell out,
but yeh your second point does make sense.
what generally happens more often is that bands are forbidden from announcing certain dates or fests until other ones they're contracted to do are over...
i suspect they're just busy sorting out stuff to announce the april/may weekends. i think the dirty three one was announced mid-october of last year...
audience, they don't necessarily need to announce a big name act to drive sales. If a huge name act was announced too early it could cause devoted fans of said band to buy up all the tickets, leaving very few of ATPs core audience as attendees. With someone like Bjork, the average ATP attendee is fairly likely to be a fan (she fared pretty well in the voting for ATP vs The Fans), it's not like they would be playing to a disinterested crowd.
I'm sure dirty 3 didn't sell out and vs the fans only just did. Surely the line-up for vs the fans was better, plus it was in the summer?
I guess Portishead are that big a draw or maybe it is down to the amount of mainstream press coverage that the festival is starting to get.
It was far better.
there's always spares nearer the time, usually less than face value as people get desperate.
and the lastfm event page
Update today please?
unless you live in Glasgow!
when someone finds themselves with a lot of time on their hands, would they like to trek around all band websites and find out what days everyone is playing. looks like ive got to miss almost ALL of sunday.
Sweet. This is more like it.
'Here is a new list of bands who have just confirmed for Christmas, so you can stop crying your eyes out that we havent updated the site'
Hi Barry! I think I love you. As a friend, mind.
This is gonna rule so fuckin' much. OMGZA Dick DaLOLe
Eels? (parish connection)
would be lovely, PJ also.
She's been rumoured before. And the fact that John Parish is playing makes that seem a bit more likely.
Public Enemy were mentioned a while back too, and I know that they took ages to confirm for the Autechre gig.
Would be amazing if Kraftwerk played - though I think they tried and failed to get them before, for the Shellac ATP in 2002.
This is going to be sooooo good!
I never expected that. I had no idea they were still around.
I didn't know they had reunited! I've seen Michael Rother and Dieter Moebius perform together a couple of times, which was great, but this could be amazing! If they don't play ATP, they'll be a shoo-in for supersonic...
Michael Rother played the Mars Volta ATP a couple of years ago.
(Harmonia without Rother) played some reunion shows earlier this year. I went to one. It wasn't very good. Basically each song was a generic IDM loop repeated with slight shifts in EQ etc. No sign of either the kiddie-style synth melodies of their classic albums, or the immense drones of their earlier stuff.
Much as I love Harmonia, I worry that their reunion may not be much better.
And frankly if Harmonia confirm I'll wet my pants in excitement.
jesus christ. that has just raised the line-up from being above average to fucking awesome - i've got a massive sadface because i'm not going now :( hopefully they'll play some other dates while they're over here.
judging by the 60s records and that's good enough...but only one of the original guys is alive now. I'm sure they will pay an excellent tribute to him anyway. Looking forward to it very muchly.
and Simeon was the brains behind it, so he justs need a drummer to replicate the original guy. the reviews of the recent shows have been great. and the last 3 albums (post 60s) have been pretty great too, except for the middle one...
thing ever, but very unlikely i think
and that may be the worst music i have ever heard
for constant repeats of shine 1997 on their stereo (i wish i was joking about how enjoyable that is when you're drunk)
they're named after the Ornette Coleman track "The Blessing", seeing as they cite him as an influence.
Wasn't it also the name of some slightly rubbish AOR type band in the late 80s / early 90s too?
what channel/page number? Is it actually reliable?
it sounds confused
how GLENN BRANCA PRESENTS NEW WORK FOR GUITARS has changed to GLENN BRANCA PRESENTS NEW WORK FOR GUITARS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS on the lineup?
That probably means Thurston Moore and Lee Renaldo. How predictable.
(And O'Malley too I guess)
I think ATP need to pull their finger out a bit actually. They constantly promise updates that never appear, and then update to say a band has pulled out.
1st and the 2nd.
i heard the other day about a Current 93 gig in germany that had guest spots from Will Oldham plus the ensemble contained members of Sunn. that sounds amazing.
we rely on you to keep us all informed
getting in a bit of a twist about wanting to know who the last people were gonna be. I've changed tact now, and would rather not know! Nothing like turning up to a festival and having a lovely surprise (or even a nasty surprise!) all adds to the excitement of what is guaranteed to be a spot on weekend anyway!
Damn, was quite looking forward to them.
This is a bummer
advertising two on here:
if they're gone just keep an eye on that page and the atp myspace page

thus, i will drive!
from new zealand or a seventies supergroup with a dead singer.
'We are really excited to announce that our favourite Stones Throw artist Madlib is confirmed to play this Christmas presenting The Madlib Medicine Show which will feature guest rappers and djs to be announced shortly.'
not the most exciting set of additions.
All those bands are average to boring. Well Madlib should be alright.
that's not the case!
we're just about done...maybe one or two more?
Madlib, more hip hop - nice. I loved the Madvillainy record. Anyone else more of a fan to recommend more?
...are actually The Jukes, I think.
They're from Bristol and have worked with Geoff Barrow and John Parish, so seems reasonable that they'd be playing ATP.
(i think there's an error tho, they write Boris and Boris rather than BORIS and boris, so you can't tell which will be at minehead and which will be at the forum)
INFORMATION REGARDING SUNN AND BORIS
Sunday December 9th Minehead's ATP Nightmare Before Christmas this year is winding up to be a complete demolition of heavy with suitably appropriate nod to the region. Om, Earth, Atavist, Boris and SUNN are all scheduled and it’s going to be a weekend of low frequency exploration, unlikely melodics, mantra, tundra emulation, drone, chant and homage to the mindset of what once was. Julian Cope's presence as Archdrude will prove to be ultra-significant in this atmosphere... expect the mythological limits!
On Monday December 10th ATP present a second convergence of a portion of said tribe for an exclusive event at London's Forum. With humble and honourable support by legends EARTH, Boris and Sunn will each present individual performances of unique sets unlike what birthed the prior evening in the west. Significant in the very least.
As an exclusive climax to this evening at The Forum SUNN & BORIS will present selections together as/from their 2006 collaboratory opus ALTAR live on stage for the first time in Europe. Expect very special guests, epic performance, total volcanic worship, downtuned bombast, and the unique dynamism which defines said such ALTAR.
SUNN & BORIS joined together only once onstage as ALTAR to date, May 2007 in Kawasaki, Japan to a packed house of 700 obliterated fans. The scale of London to Kawasaki is at least tenfold.
Please note: SUNN will be performing different sets at both ATP and Forum. ATP will be "die-hard" edition and Forum concentrating on the new Directions spurred by recent album recording activities. Expect brand new material to debut there. Furthermore, Boris will be performing at ATP and Boris will be performing at Forum. The capitalization is crucial within the band's concept, the capital B emphasizing the ROCK, the lower case emphasizing the VISION.
This will be a legendary & monumental weekend not to be missed!
Thanks for the update. Possibly translated from English to Japanese and back again?
Is the gist of it that Boris and Sunn O))) will be performing different sets at ATP and the Forum?
It's alllll good. Mmmm. Sunn.
Someone please blag me into ATP?
We are really saddened to have to announce that Dick Dale is no longer able to play at ATP this December.
Due to health reasons his whole November and December tour has been cancelled. This is a real shame as we were very much looking forward to having Mr Dale play, as he was looking forward to playing. As a result we are currently looking for a replacement.
We send our best wishes to Mr Dale for a full and speedy recovery.
you beat me to it!
thought forms, that's my friends band! top stuff
but obviously his health comes first. Hope he's OK.
dunno who with. maybe a Sunn 0))) walk-on..
where did you hear this from?
havent seen it officially advertised.
he was ace at the mars volta one!
surely the organisers would be insane not to get them to play when they're gonna be playing shows in europe at the end of november?
With Dick Dale and Ladytron pulling out they have a couple of high profile slots to fill, Harmonia and Damo would be ideal.
eh? EH? PLS?
Are they touring around that time?
so if they're willing to come over to europe...why not ask?
that weekend, i'm quietly hoping they'll play...
We are very pleased to announce that Damo Suzuki has confirmed.
The former frontman of the celebrated group Can will be backed by Fuzz against Junk and also be joined on stage by other special guests!
have confirmed according to their myspace.
Even more gutted i'm not going now!
Ultravox headline and also Kevin Rowland and perhaps Truman's Water are going to recreate Leo Theremin's first Theremin orchestra.
so thats why andrew was 'looking forward to atp even more now' earlier today
to getting fucked up and loonying like a goodun' even better the Indie disco in the Crazyhorse. People going bezerk to french disco and Frankie valley! Yay!
pitchfork one...not nightmare
both ATP dates were definitely listed on their MySpace last week. Odd.
can we give up on anymore confirmations happening?
ROSIE RED RASH
THE GAS GIANTS
FUCK BUTTONS »
JOHN COOPER CLARKE
so i take it its not the ex-gin blossoms
'gas giants' then? as gin blossoms are back together...
if i can get John Cooper Clarke to sign my gcse english textbook.
I found them:
They have a MySpace too, but I can't find the link as MySpace is blocked at work.
They're a jazz/electronic duo featuring Will Gregory from Goldfrapp. Adrian Utley's played with them in the past, as has the singer from the Jukes. Only weird thing is that they don't seem to have played together since the mid 90s.
'In 1996 he joined the house band for the Channel 4 light entertainment series Light Lunch and Late Lunch'
oh ATP, how has it come to this?
plays drums in The Blockheads among others. He’s a jazz / soul-type guy and he’s pretty cool.
i was being silly. i heard he's doing some bowie covers project? maybe he'll do that.
i would actually die of happiness
Comicopera, a late contender for one of the albums of the year
of envy. not that i'm bitter i can't go..
I see Evil Kitty are listed as playing at this. Anyone been to their nights in Bristol?
who the guys were in jaks on the last night of Vs The Fans? they were great! took requests, even when silly, and did a great mix of stuff. jumpin jaks bar staff headbanging to mcclusky! classic :D
later tonight according to the email. please no bad clashes. i'm off seeing dirty projectors, and if someone hasn't done a spreadsheet on my return, there will be cyber beatings. k thanks bye x
I'm glad Portishead aren't on the huge stage, probably gonna cause some queueing nightmares though.
should be fine in that case.
Seeing the actual times has got me really excited now. Weeeeeeeee :)
Boris - 5.30pm - 6.30pm
Earth - 7pm - 8pm
Sunn o))) - 8.30pm – 10pm
Crippled Black Phoenix 10.30pm - 11.30pm
Team Brick - 12.00am - 12.45pm
Aphex Twin -1.30am – 3.30am
only bastard being I'm gonna have to miss Thurston or seasick steve to see Portishead, but I can live with that.
bummed at having to miss Sunn O))) for Madlib, but otherwise it looks ok. 2 in the morning Silver Apples set should be amazing.
will be ?
I've rounded to the nearest 15 minutes so there are a couple that AREN'T exactly right, but this is basically how it looks. Also, might fuck up in IE, I'm not sure. Anyway.
Damo Suzuki - 5.30pm - 6.15pm
Black Mountain – 6.45pm - 8.00pm
The Madlib Medicine Show - 8.30pm - 10.00pm
clashes with the doomaphon next door. dammit!
Mr Joe i think we should see portishead on the friday.
thurston > seasick
i mean saturday! god i'll just go to bed shall i? yes.
isn't it usually a wristband allocation?
One thing I do find reassuring is that there's plenty of white space on the timetable - meaning they're likely to arrange extra sets for the acts that not everyone got to see, same as with previous Minehead ATPs. I hope so, anyway.
"The Portishead show will be wrist-banded so all fans are guaranteed entry. At check-in please choose your preferred show day (Friday or Saturday)"
The Portishead show will be wrist-banded so all fans are guaranteed entry. At check-in please choose your preferred show day (Friday or Saturday) The wristbands will be on a first come first served basis, however if there are special circumstances that means you are arriving late on the Friday evening or not until the Saturday morning and can only attend the Saturday show please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org with "wristband" in the subject line and let us know and we can make arrangements to hold back wristbands.
let's see Portishead on Saturday then. yeah!
Would it be cheating to email them now?
yes. especially as we're not going to be there late.
I forgot Barry was spying on us. Hi Barry! xxx
does seem like the friday might be misprinted...
i read the above posts properly. ignore me.
are playing twice. Is it just me, or is this pretty bizzare?
what's Glenn Branca gonna do in that time??
last for 15 minutes. i'm sure he'll think of something.
they're on right before Portishea. Like, 5 minutes before. So maybe they're doing a short set to prep the crowd.
Heads --> OM --> Aphex Twin will be immense. As will Silver Apples at night.
Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus
was a self inflicted shotgun wound after that.
is Glenn Branca really playing for 15 minutes, or is that a typo on ATP's site?
Silver Apples at 1:45am - how good is this going to be?!
He's doing two sets, one hour long set with his band, and the 15min one where he's premiering a new work for guitars. Maybe his "new work" is only 15 mins?
are also playing for 15 minutes - what's going on here?
I was wondering whether they'd be showing the Hatton vs. Mayweather fight on the saturday night.
I think it was open fairly late, aye.
I was thinking watch Aphex then relax in the bar and watch the fight (big plans-I'll probably crash around 11.30).
Oh and I will be drinking now. It's sorted.
Glenn Branca is a tough clash, but seeing the horrors will also mean I am certain to be there to see Thurston in all his glory.
is the sort of thing phil mitchell would say to his horrified battered wife after giving up his AA meetings.
I'm going to drink you under the table.
also, Daniel tells me his friend Charlotte, who's sharing with us, has an almost superhuman tolerance for alcohol. So don't go rashly throwing yourself into any foolish drinking contests.
make sure you tell me first so I can spike the opposition with my handy rohypnol tablets.
really really does. it's almost terrifying.
in taunton exactly one week from now.
Some bitch from the next office has kindly put my name down to take minutes at a meeting next Friday, I politely told her that I was going to be in a holiday camp having my ears burnt to the ground.
records in the Crazy Horse from 3pm on Friday. You can take minutes at that if you like.
Are you DJing post-bands again this time?
slot is 10pm - 1am on Sunday....but who knows
It's one of those lineups where I'd be happy seeing anything on there so not too stressful. Reminds me of the Autechre one where all the best stuff (Sunn 0))), Aphex) was on really late. Oren Ambarchi, Polar Bear and Jah Shaka are all brilliant in their different ways.
to play any Kate Bush?
doing the go down thursday, come back tuesday deal thing?we are.but as my more sensible friends keep pointing out, that means we will no doubt miss allday friday.but not having to be out of the challet at 10am on the monday morning to endure the most hellish journey in the world ever sounds heavenly
people who just want to carry on sleeping are more than welcome to stay at ours on the monday

Can't beat ATP though.
but I'm hoping to get to the Altar gig on Monday night if I'm not dead. Got Tuesday off though, skillz.
