2 words - REGINA. SPEKTOR.
I'm going to have a wash.
what a fantastic festival it was.
Battles and 65daysofstatic (where my girlfriend fainted) were the highlights for me.
Oh yeah and some clowns gazebo crashing over my tent during the storms on the first day was quite amusing.
Was she ok?
just the smell of shit, intense heat and lack of water made her keel over.
I managed to work my way back in to the front after i checked she was ok though so all was well.
Thanks for asking.
Buck 65 Spoken Word
Nervous Testpilot (as always)
= set of the weekend
Chris McMath from afar, and to me it sounded really bad. I left.
Chicks on speed, Nervous text pilot (really wish I saw all his set rather than Darren Hayman), The Walkoff, Buck 65, Emmy the great.... and the DJ that was in the trailer park tent between 10 and midnight on Saturday.
I love Truck.
Suitable Case For Treatment
was anyone else rather peeved about how much the beer / food prices had shot up? And there was no "major changes" as promised with the ticket price rise.
Just minor gripes, though.
The Keyboard Choir
The Rock of Travolta
Most entertaining were probably Skullthrash - a great way to begin sunday morning
wanted to see Skullthrash...but it was FAR too early yesterday.
I missed The Early years for the same reason.
It was like Steve Vai and Joey Satriani duelling over the Metallica rhythm section, with some random death metal vocals. Just not quite as good though
No mention of Jetplane Landing? Fuck me, what a set that was, although there was something ominous in Ferris declaring he didn't know when he'd see us all again. Jamie appeared to be welling up at the end. What else? Emmy, Goodbooks in the torrential rain, Rock Of Travolta, KTB, AS&AP, !FR!, 6 Nation State, the Steventon heroin that is banana smoothies (I had to stop buying them when the woman casually said "smoothie? Yeah, I know your face" after the fourth), Russell The Disaster wrestling his mate's kid just downfield from Hundred Reasons...
A photo set, which you can tell is taken with a new camera as it gets better as it goes along (and I've just realised I've filed them in reverse chronological order, but never mind): http://www.flickr.com/photos/sweepingthenation/sets/72157594209883891/
i was one of four truckers to get the 0630 bus from steventon to oxford this morning. got home to birmingham by ten o clock!
sets-wise, most things were good: emmy the great was... great. nervous test pilot was something i didn't expect to like but did... jetplane landing were awesome.
oh and banana smoothies kept me alive on sunday.
being chased out of the performance tent by stewards. that was nice.
lots of fun. so many highlights and my best truck yet.
Emmy the Great
The Half Rabbits
anyone catch the keyboard choir? i'm interested to see how we went down.
the 1st two songs, but I had to go outside and lie down (hangover issues). What I heard was amazing though, you were the first band I looked up on the internet when I got home.
cheers for the kind words.
there's a video of the robots marching in here:
I think we were all having hangover issues then and I imagine we did little to soothe them!
jez dragged us all in, i enjoyed it very much!
our 'robot man' was given the brief of making 'blue peter style robots' and massive budget of £50!
glad you enjoyed it.
we're all off to Ireland tomorrow to record for a week. You can read all about it at www.myspace.com/thekeyboardchoir should you want to.
Didn't see a great deal of bands - maybe ten? I watched about 40 the first year I went!
Highlights ... Jetplane Landing, The Futureheads, The Young Knives (as usual), Winnebago Deal (as usual), Redjetson, Jacobs Stories (while soaked and with rain pelting the tent - awesome).
Probably above all though, the biggest highlight was playing songs with passers by on Saturday and Sunday nights. If anyone sang Hanson with me, thanks for your assistance! Was anyone part of singing Highway To Hell with Santa on the last night? Brilliant.
What a fun weekend!
partly due to developing a fear of the shitty barn. Partly to my laziness...
I really enjoyed the Walk Off, some of the Futureheads, and then mainly dancing to various drum n bass and gabba and terrible indie DJing by some girl with ENORMOUS boobs and a bad microphone style.
On Sunday my highlight was definitely the Mystery Jets, but I didn't really move from the main stage all day. Alcocks little jump into the crowd during the last song was the highlight of the highlight.
What an all round lovely festival tho! However, there is no excuse to ever run out of booze, you can get it on sale or return!!
homoerotic dancing with Sam Get Cape during the MJ's encore wasn't great? :(
Were you the guy who knew like every dodgy pop song from the 90s on guitar like Hanson and Robbie Williams and shit? If so, you are THE MAN, when we mauled that guy who told us to "fuck off with your shitty boyband shit" i laughed my face off, Santa was fucking hilarious too, especially his like 7 foot friend who kept rapping "ORIGINAL SANTA YO!" aahhh Truck.
Scoring repeatedly past Deltasound in Truck Football
"Actually Physically ROFLing"
That was actually immensely funny. Seriously.
You are a good man, HBS.
P.S. Your MC set is going into my Maps Review.
Chicks On Speed
A Scholar & A Physician
I stink. I'm going in the bath.
Band of the festival, for me.
Pure, perfect pop music. 10/10
It really was lovely meeting new people and seeing familiar faces, and the fact a load of us camped together was ace.
lowlights: I missed Battles, and I now have to go to work.
Firstly, it was fucking AMAZING to see about 5000 people all carrying around the programme with my illustration on the front cover! Proper, proper, proper good feeling! It printed really well too!
Foals (although why Yannis is singing like he's in Q & Not U is beyond me, still great though)
Buck 65 (TOTAL HIGHLIGHT!)
Emmy The Great ("JIM!")
Last two songs of Redjetson
The Futureheads (too much new stuff *cires*)
:( were alright...
Best festival I've been to in years! No more Reading, ever! Seriously, what a lovely festival, going next year fo'sho.
My nose is sunburnt :(
without actually being introduced. i'm tara's friend with the taz t-shirt.
redjetson = baaaaad and foals = good but samey. and the futureheads live is boring now :(
"Taz t-shirt for Taz!"
Hello hello, yeah I didn't know what to say really as Tara hadn't introduced us properly, however, it was nice to see you.
Redjetson were okay, but like I only caught the last two songs so I can't judge either way. I thought Foals were really immediate and I was nodding and tapping from the second they starting howling.
and so TINY!
get cape - ok
brakes - ace
chris tt - got bored
mc lars - AWFUL but funny
darren hayman - v good
forward russia - great, and they kept following me EVERYWHERE all weekend
hundred reasons - mediocre set by a mediocre band, except for the point where i realised they'd ripped of 'living on a prayer' for one of their songs
futureheads - were ok. i was drunk
a bit of 6 nation state - sounded fun
1 song of the priscillas - were better when i was drunk
undertheigloo - ok
lightyear - BRILLIANT
bit of the rock of travolta - got boring quite quickly
youthmovies - need to see again, not sure i 'get' them yet
65dos - just amazing. every time i see them i get more and more convinced they're the perfect band
the young knives - fun
mystery jets - good
and i heard foals, and was indeed impressed.
and there was football, and tequila, and becherovka, and trashy indie discos, and broken glasses (not mine), a straw cowboy hat, pre cut limes, a funnel, cafetiere mugs, a broken woman, 7 ages of festivalkev, a barn, a bag o'beer, an impromptu mixtape swap, a vulture man t shirt, lots of swearing, lots of sweating and much much much laughter.
:D sleep now.
should you ever be at a party and not have any salt for your tequila, feel free to lick my head.
ahh shit man they were proper good! was totally swept up really quickly and totally impressed.
My wee was blue.
it was blue.
I OWN your hat now. You should have held onto it!
i;m not sure i understand
during their spellbinding performance and went on to heckle, badly
nah, that wasn't me...
was wanky, if you were a bit late for a band in a tent/barn it was mega hard to get in. i missed regina spektor and battles which im a bit gutted about but otherwise it was awesum.
i wish i'd gone to see buck 65's spoken word set now. :(
i didn't know if i could handle two doses of buck in one day, especially with piney gir and 65dos in competition.
after watching his set in the barn i realised i could have watched him for the whole day and not get bored. he was AMAZINGNESS.
other highlights for me were emmy the great, battles...and the sight of drunken bobbygeorge rapping while monpot grinded up against him. i will never forget that. EVER.
I've honestly got no memory of that. Crikey!
which has been eternally seared into my memory. :D
:( - i actually enjoyed them a lot more this time
the dancing robot band
i also no longer hate forward russia i now merely don't see what all the fuss is about.
piney gir's country roadshow was a bit lame
getting too drunk on the first day and falling asleep
All Bands On Brainlove Are Good</robot voice>
what just happened? where am I?
Highlights in order of aceness
The Rock of Travolta
Letdowns in order of rubbishness
Only 1 reciprocated "DAN!" all weekend.
Apart from those 2 minor blips everything else I saw, tasted, smelt and heard was pretty much great.
who kept shouting Dan.
then they played Beirut.
that made up for it.
the early years
the end of buck 65, who I wasn't mightily impressed by
the rock of travolta
i should've bottled them or something..
were the shitest thing i heard all weekend!
You liked all the shit blokey postrock though that I would cross a road to avoid...
ok, the singing wasn't great, but I liked their presence, and their advertising gimmick.
youthmovies aren't terribly blokey, as youd know if you ever saw them/spoke to them, and foals look like fifteen-year-old fey indie kids.
and for the record, one more time: 65daysofstatic are boooooooooring.
i can't be arsed with 65dos on record, but liked them a lot this weekend live...
they are blokey though.
youthmovies aren't. They did pour ice-cubes down my trouser legs though!
emmy the great
I went to see mainly the obvious stuff, poked a nosey around the tents at some other things. I wouldn't call any of that boring blokey post-rock. Youthmovies = intensely beautiful AND memorable, 65dos mega-forceful, battles = brain-disco, foals are kompakt records amped up.
I too could listen to buck all day.. he makes the simplest story hilarious, gives meaning. I don't understand why, but can't stop gazing at him.
Mystery Jets were sing-along adventure-pop brilliance. The harmonies!!! the scattered stage and enthusiam .. actual SONGS. They played 'on my feet' as an encore, which has the best verse/chorus transition in the world ever.
Emmy is just delightful, and she poked me in the tit.
And No Star were really interesting, would like to hear a bit more recorded...
Chicks on Speed. Time has passed, it's not interesting anymore.
Shimura Curves - tired old dress-wearing, arm wiggling. No actual appearance of energy or invigoration or interest. I want my fellow girls to go and do something interesting, not rehearsed and rehashed.
didn't get into the tent for :(
but it sounded wank from the outside?!?!
i was hoping for more...
overall - truck = THE BRILL!!!!
and his way with words. he has so much CHARACTER, and he's a true entertainer through and through.
oh, and i forgot mojave 3 from my list of highlights; a perfectly lovely way to end the festival. :D
And although they were a few members down, they haven't diminished at all in my view.
It's because he's bloody gorgeous, that's why.
That would be me and mine frengers.
bit of a festival tradition.
i was right next to you, wearing a grey foals t-shirt one day, green spinto band the other.
my tent was blue.
my girlfriend is tall. and very sexually attracive.
Did you guys turn up to pitch your tent just when it started to rain? Beard?
I was the one wearing the brown holy fuck t-shirt mainly sharing a lot of drunken partridge, spaced, gervais quotes with my 5 man friends. oh and playing Beirut on the stereo.
anyway, a belated..... "Hi!, I'm nevereatyellowsnow"
well, nice to meet. kinda...!
I kept hearing names from here I kind of recognise.
Was it you singing a wonderful rednition of "To Be With You" on repeat this morning?
That was my soulful voice accompanied by commandercool's fretwork.
'Soulful' - NME 8/10
because of you guys.
That's it, we're Blur and BamosCool is Oasis.
MC Crabby Crab
The Ralfe Band
The song everyone in our campsite sang about Aphex Twin.
I can't believe there were so many more people there I didn't meet!
My feet won't get clean.
he's on my list too.
i liked it when that guy admitted half-way through his set "i didn't realise you were gay" after he had spent about 15 mins making jokes about his boyfriend...
Highlights, band wise:
Lightyear - my band of the weekend
Skullthrush - AMAZING. If only for the Steve Vai t-shirt and the air guitar. I'm so making my own Skullthrash t-shirt.
Futureheads - fun for me
Mystery Jets - brilliant, truly stunning
Seth Lakeman - something about his voice makes me incredibly happy
The Walkoff - hmmmmm...interesting
Youthmovies seemed good before I had to leave the barn before I fainted to death.
Lowlights, band wise:
:( - awful, just truly truly awful
that's about it, I think.
Other things I really want to mention:
nice_squirrel's frankly repulsive puking into her mouth and then swallowing it back down. That retching noise will live with me forever.
restlessboyandy using a plastic pint glass to inflate ho-fo's sopping wet bosom.
Rumours involving certain users and ketamine-based high jinks.
and i need to apologise to crablin, the only DISer i saw as i called him gay.
i then went and threw up everywhere.
that you had a photo of me bumming sam get cape on the truck stage?
I am thankful you restrained it. I'm just still unhappy I had to witness even that.
but MY highlights would probably be:
The shittest people, who were really reallly shit:
Some other bands
its on one of those disposable ones.
i shall scan it in.
i saw you (colin) queuing for youth movies, i was like, y would you be queuing.
but was in awe of saying 'ho is razorlit' to someone who would frown at me and say 'freak'
had AAA, so i queued with them!
Regina Spektor - probably best act of the festival
Brakes - why did I never pay attention to them before?
Youthmovies - an excellent surprise
Redjetson - ditto
Emmy the Great - Cat Power meets Bright Eyes aceness
SCHOOLTHRUSH - "this song is called... Knee Deep... IN THE DEAD!"
What an ace weekend, I feel shattered but very happy. Can't wait for Truck Ten.
I doubt I'd like them on record, but they were FUN.
Giant footballs and shouty upbeat rock on a Sunday afternoon = great.
pointless? there was nothing to do and didn't that football get taken away?
we had a good hour of broken legs and knackered tar-filled lungs before then though.
We sat around and had some good banter and a few drinks. Much better than having to rush home and make the last trains as soon as the bands finish, I reckon.
And didn't the football actually get taken away by Sean Deltasound? Or did I dream that? I have an image of him running away with a cheeky grin on his face.
he made everyone chase after some poor kid and then took the ball away when no one was looking :D
I thought Sunday night was ace - football carnage, drinking, glockenspiel-based singalongs and Tomos' amazing stand-up performance in our tent at 3am.
oh fuck, the bassist from elbow!
I must have missed that one. I love how you saved Pele for the next morning.
i asked tomos to do it back in our tent, but i think he was already asleep.
me and Rrrachel made a rather poor effort at being cheerleaders.
i ran away with it at one point bu got rugby-tackled...then someone else ran off with it
Mojave 3 - Almost the perfect way to end a festival. I had high hopes and they didn't disappoint.
Mystery Jets - I had the best time watching them and The Young Knives. The music was good too.
Forward Russia - Never been a big fan but I thought they were great.
The Futureheads - Justified the headline slot.
:( - I think they are ace. I really do.
Battles were great too.
Seth Lakeman was perfect for a Sunday afternoon in the sun with lots of beer.
Youthmovies - rubbish.
Rock of Travolta - arse.
Hundred Reasons - Toilet.
It was a proper brilliant weekend though. I enjoyed every minute I think. Even being dropped on my head by Hollywood_Freak.
I loved Tequila Kev too and I usually hate tequila.
but I wasn't really in the mood for them I don't think which is why I didn't stay for the whole thing. It just felt a bit of an anticlimax after Regina Spektor, especially since there were so few people there for Mojave 3.
i decided nothing would be better than Regina so went and got drunk.
I saw Scha La Las who were alright I guess. Should really have been on a bigger stage though.
the futureheads. when i was with the most fun people. i'll never forget that. ever :)
mystery jets were brilliant. glad i saw the organ. and emmy the great. and a bit of :( emo.
pissed off i didn't see regina spektor tho!! i don't even know where i was or what i did when she played. poop
... all in all, it was an amazing weekend. i don't want to return to the real world!
I was the most fun in the futureheads set :o)
Because we were doing the worst kickups ever with Dan H from Redjetson next to the Disco Shed ... this must have been about midnight on Sunday with a ball we had accidentally stolen off some welsh people who had stolen it from someone else. Anyway he went off to party and we sat down to play some guitar and some drunk guy came and wellied the ball towards the toilets. About two minutes later there was some massive ruck where about 50 people were flying all over the place - looked hilarious! This what people are talking about?
he was quite hot.
it's not what i'm talking about...i ran off with it during the big game at around 11, i think!
Battles were truely awesome.
enjoyed the beer and company.
you were there?! Why didn't I spot you?
and it's Maggot from GLC :)
I also recognise your shirt. I saw you. TRUE STORY. I'm now going to stalk you.
I started looking out for Dissers but gave up. I want to meat, I mean meet you one day Bamos.
there were about 20 of us playing frisbee in the main field. Tom from Sparks is the worst frisbee player in sporting history.
Heartbrokenstar: 'Yeah, I was on the Uni frisbee team'
*throws frisbee in completely the opposite direction to where anyone is*
would've been nice to meet you stu. sigh.
'nice' what am I talking about.
I know Lordscopie did, as Simon decided to call him a racist.
He was hilarious, one of the best stand-ups I've seen. The best bit was when, about fifteen minutes in, Simon asked a talking guy to share his conversation with the rest of us. The guy looked really embarrassed and said "I was saying I hadn't realised you were gay". LOLZ.
i saw him. he was good, but not great. obs didn't see it all because the police were hunting me down over ILLEGAL photos. maybe boots will report me? scary.
behind about eight people wherever I tried. By ducking and weaving I saw his head a couple of times.
he started bitching about Popworld, that was ace.
Are we going to get arrested for talking about his set?
as long as we don't tell a joke exactly how it was told, we should be okay.
oh no, i quoted him! copyright laws!
= trademark and nervous test pilot. emmy was lovely too, and i wishwish the research hadn't been running so late because what i saw of them was quite ace
other fun things what happened:
going to see manic cough (HOT dancer + see through skirt = aceness)
dancing in brainlove's white PVC coat with thommo
finding my bottle of peach schnapps YAY
i didn't see half the bands i wanted to, but it didn't really seem to matter :)
i thought it was real leather?
with a "real leather" tag on it :)
i was totally in with the joke... :P
They just played Brakes live on 6Music. i miss the weekend :(
on sunday morning in the tent next door (non diser). She was faking
the fucking rain as soon as we arrived. I was wearing a sundress. Our tent got filled with water. :(
FORTUNATELY Monpot's lovely friend Dave appeared like magic to save my life. I love him.
quite possibly. In rain and despair though, not sound.
if Sophie's runny mascara was caused by rain or tears.
Dave is good at Outdoory Stuff, like putting up tents in storms. I just stood around whilst people pointed at my nipples.
and i dont mean a spunky haircut!
my nipples were like salami ends....
it was just rain, I think. It made my hair completely insane for the rest of the weekend.
sorry. I'll thread your pole any time you like.
who played with KTB *swoons*
I'd prefer to conduct this out in the open. Like Guntrip.
i've started crying with laughter again...
Or was it skullfuck? I'm not sure anymore.
Being at the front for Seafood was the best thing ever.
seafood were absolutely brilliant
even though we could only hear the one guitar. I couldn't hear any of the vocals! My ears are ringing!
ear fuzz. i liked the conversation we had afterwards.
Ho_fo was funny. "well done Jeff"
and got twatted in the mouth by David seafood. *dies happy* :-)
We had Kev who doesn't jump around alot. FOLKSONG CRISIS!
i fear there may be disturbing images of me and alcxxk in the mjs encore
i'm pretty sure
Band of the weekend. I'm serious.
Lots of highlights. I'm too tired to make a list, but it'd probably involve some bands, 'houzo' and LOLin. In particular being saved by him after underpangs wrestled me to the ground. HERO.
I love truck. And DiS people.
so there were three wrestles!
honney ouzo tea was one of my weekend's highlights.
even if we did just find it on the ground :s
when he opened the bottle of Honey Ouzo, and despite standing a good few meters away, I could still smell it.
I can't beleive I put off drinking the honey ouzo for 2 years. It was AMAZING. and now it's all gone :(
Any drink that can make tea AND banana smoothies alcoholic is a winner.
could probably do that.
and honeylicious, is it?
otherwise I'd be dead, probably.
I'm also amazed at how last night I'd somehow gone from having no booze left at all, to having Cider, Red Wine and Mead in my hands at the same time.
i really really want banana smoothie.
being introduced to a load of you whilst realising "shiiiiit i bet im covered in banana smoothie"
TEAquila in the end?
but Honney Ouza Banana Smoothie looked like the worst thing in the world.
The Gross Jar from Vice Magazine.
which were the never-ending discussions about animals with fionapinkstars and others, in particular on the coach, and the unanswerable 'rubbishest animal' question.
but at one point last night, someone called Rapscallion 'Rick' -everyone who was there thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Who called him Rick?
and it was deltasound.
and it was funny.
he was like some kind of indie pied piper walking around with that.
uhm, yeah i'm going to bed now.
A Nasty Bastard
1 pt. vodka
1 pt. tonic
1 pt. Rasberry and apple juice
Then when the juice runs out
An Absolute Motherfucker
equal parts vodka and cheap, strong cider
No wonder I can't remember anything post SCHLAS on Sunday. Well, just laughing a LOT and then me, fid, thommo n porl spending about an hour trying to kick sausage rolls over the electricity pylon. It's fucking impossible, I'm telling you, especially when you are crying from laughing too much.
at least i think you were?
I didn't know you were there.
i have a blackout around that time.
wondered off into the bands bit.
Shame really, you missed more drop-kicking.
I went looking for a party at dawn. And ended up walking the perimeter of the whole festival at dawn and finding not a single soul awake. Ah well, it was quite nice anyway. I was last man standing, totally.
i settled for fourth place then. Not bad going i reckon.
is the reason i remember nothing past 7:30pm on Saturday.
and also the reason i have a number of gaps past about 2am on sunday.
i'm sunburn to fuck.
i was awake at 3am this morning because i fell asleep at 1pm. and then again at 9pm.
i have.. um.. other injuries as well.
i basically hurt all over, and i'm now at work.
but i saw about a million billion amazing bands and about the same number of amazing people.
according to Simon Amstell (well spotted Nice_squirrel)
Other highlights include:
Good Books in the rain
Thomas Truax (with his home made drum machine)
The Early Years
and the straw hat I found on the sunday evening.
Can't wait until next year
at the train station upon arriving on Saturday morning at Didcot, do you know my friend Louis?
yes, i know him from the seafood boards, i caught the train back with him on monday morning..
it was you. I should have said hello. I was the tall bloke that left you guys to catch a cab. Next time!
Hehe, that's nice to know. I met Brainlove and Jasmine, who were both all sorts of lovely. I'll make a better effort in the future!
was standing in front of me at jetplane landing.
but moved left towards the centre about halfway through so i could leap around like a maniac as they were AMAZING.
thats really comforting.
I'm the nicest guy in the world, you cunt.
but you also seem to take any opportunity you can to talk about your cock.
during the game of football :D
i need my cd off him.
you might want to ask me about that :D
next to the speakers :(
the following were FANTATA:
emmy the great
i wish i wasn't back at work.
All night biscuit party
Monpots impressions, and generally my tent on sunday night.
Gin + Tequila + Bakicerogulu <----TASTES LIKE GINGERBREAD
Calvados and lemonade
Walking past the whole regina queue with Rob Deltasound
Kicking heartbroken star in the bollocks
Not knowing who heartbroken star was, despite having met him before, and promising to be sober the next time.
Truck football. BEST THING EVER. I floored three people, including our lovely editor, and managed to make a couple of the randomers leave with sycthing kicks.
monday morning. :S
getting in trouble for kissing boys :(
none of the bands were ABSOLUTELY amazing
having to give pee vee admans tent,
oh, and FOOTBALL BOOTS ARE THE FUTURE.
deltasound, after checking with fishplums, still thought my name was rob. how this happened i have no idea.
PLAY ZONAL, NOT FUCKING MAN MARKING YOU BUNCH OF CUNTS!!!
you look like a Steve.
Crablin voted Martin... :(
Not making rapscale's list :(
Highlights: Ben Warn, and Mrs the Warn. BOTH ACE
licking monpots armpit. before having beer poured down my nose :(
although i will send it you adman, if you want it like.
I apologise for getting your name wrong. It was 2am and i had sunk a little too much of that green stuff I created. Although it did seem to increase my goalkeeping abilities.
But yeah, beating the regina spektor queue? Legendary...
I saw her on Monday morning, looking more than a little worse for wear.
she confronted me as I was washing my hands before departing the football 'arena'.
Nervous TestPilot - Best thing that weekend, and I bumped into him afterwards and gushed some praise at him.
Thomas Truax - I love that guy and I met him as well afterwards!
The Ralfe Band - I pour scorn on most people for not being there and watching that vagina inspector instead!
Brakes were good fun as well, even if Matt kept telling me about his 'Maxicans' every two mins!
Trademark - Brilliant stuff actually, a real marmite affair with them though, I can understand why people would hate them, I just wish I caught the first half of their set.
Piney Gir - Hmmmm, Restlessboy didn't like her much but I thought it was foot-tapping fun and it was good fun.
Keveddy Tequila was a lovely experiance, I never need salt again! Just find a bald friend...
Gin and Tonic - I love you so.
Asking Monpot to do impressions of black people all Sunday night made me laugh, a lot.
Oh, and by my own biased calculations I was TRUCK FOOTBALL CHAMPION.
The Young Knives were shit, I had to leave halfway through their set.
Nearly dying twice (slight exageration perhaps...)
And despite what everyone else says, Skullfucker were SHIT!!!
So overall, a lovely time had by me, I've probably missed loads of great things, maybe due to me not being able to remember them right now...
ROLL ON TRUCK 2007!
Emmy the Great didn't captivate me like she has done with other people, I thought she was alright, even with added Nice_Squirrel power!
Just because you were goalpoaching while I was running, tackling, skinning people and getting assaulted with sleeping bags away from the goal!
h-b-s's cow costume, so huggable as well.
but it's goals that count in football, basic rule there, perhaps you can learn from me.
many a goal
some may be a little dubious, but I'm the Ruud van Nistelrooy, but with a much better face.
ok. i socred three then had to go back to the tent for a victory asthma attack. tr00 story :(
also a troo stroy :-P
The Disco Shed with it's excessive smoke machine, it was ace and it inspired 'Aphex Twin'.
And a slight lowlight was the shit DJ at the indie disco on saturday night.
the indie disco was shite. the dance DJs in the Trailer Park tent were superb however.
thank you again friend
It was LOLsome that the DJ was so immersed in smoke you oculd just see his head popping out of the side occasionally.
I wasn't entirely sure he was still alive at one point.
Family Machine (friends of mine so i'm rather biased)
emmy the great
get cape wear cape fly
+the wine, the beer. plus harrassing chris mcmath without knowing who he was. and getting sore feet. and meeting people from DiS by accident.
and making angels in the straw.
that people used to post on this board, finding threads like these is like finding Richard III under a car park
