As in a link that I can see too now where this is happening? Sounds like an ISO character encoding issue. The header seems to be specifying UTF-8 so maybe you're overriding that in your browswer. Can you check if the content/language thing is set to something other than UTF-8 or 'automatic'?
it was around various characters like "£" and before the "!" in ""Play 'Creep'!" – in fond remembrance of the Radiohead Guitar Wars" and when i hovered over a thread that had nothing in it.
