Are you local? presents another great line up at Kilburn's The Good Ship.
Bands from 8pm until 1130 and then free jukebox (Pogues, Rakes, Kate Bush, Captain Beefheart etc) and bar until 2am.
We start with the twisted glam/indie sound of Tough Love
Fools of Fortune
West London's new hopefuls Fools of Fortune come from the same school as Dega Breaks an Paper Cuts and are looking to emulate them with their punky and edgy sound.
Bit of a change of flavour with Blueform who manage to sound like a 60s garage band who discovered funk before it was invented.
The irrepressible Maxfield blast away all listeners with Valerie's outstanding vocals and some ace effects in this triphoppy/funky hybrid. Currently track of the week on Vic MCGlynn's Radio 6 show.
£5 entry. Or £4 with a print out of this. If you wanna join The Good Ship's local list (cheaper entry for everything) then pop an email to John@thegoodship.co.uk
The Good Ship, 289 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR.
