Hey hey hey
Our new single, Emotional Junkmail, is out TODAY on Ruby Slippers Records. It's available on 2 CDs, both of which feature brand new b-sides (produced by Editors/Nizlopi producer Andy Taylor), all strictly limited edition and hand-numbered by Seymour itself.
CD1: Emotional Junkmail, Once More With Feeling, The Sandman, Summer Of Love Pt. 1
CD2: Emotional Junkmail, It's Alright
It's distributed by Cargo Records and should be in all the shops by now, but if you can't be arsed to go shopping or your local music shop has closed down or you're too phuture to leave the house, you can buy it online from our online store: http://rsr.notanotherpairofsocks.com/index.php?cPath=26
AS IF THAT WASN'T EXCITING ENOUGH, we're playing at London's legendary 100 Club THIS WEDNESDAY, 10th May. Terrifyingly, they've made us headliners, so please come and make us look popular. Support is from 2 fantastically-named bands: The People's Revolutionary Choir and Tits Of Death. TITS OF DEATH! Yeah, you heard. Plus there's the NME-approved DJs The Truckin' Lauras and drunken between-band lunacy from the Turning Worm mofos. It's going to be ace. Doors are at 7.30pm and it's £8 to get in. Spread the word!
Failing that, we've more gigs on the way:
Thursday 25th May - London Lewisham Fox with Popular Workshop
Wednesday 31st May - London Upstairs at the Garage with The Fallout Theory
Saturday 3rd June - Cambridge Strawberry Fair (main stage, 9pm)
We've just come back from a fantastic tour - we played with some ace bands, particularly We Start Fires, and met some lovely people on our travels, so thankyou to everyone who put us on, turned up, bought T-shirts and helped in any way. Massivest thanks in the World, though, go to Cooper, who drove us around and sang about Lesbians. Cheers, Coop, you big fuck.
If you live in the UK, I'm sure by now you'll be aware that the far-right, Hitler-worshipping British National Party won a load of council seats in last Thursday's local elections - Seymour's currently so angry about it that he's having trouble forming sentences, but we're planning ways to try and make some kind of difference - watch this space...
bye for now
love from Seymour, Mat, Laura and Dan
