Sarah Nixey, the crisp velvet voiced chanteuse of Black Box Recorder, airs her solo bitter-sweet electro trip pop, (including recent download hit The Collector), in the sumptuous surroundings of London's Cafe De Paris, 4 Coventry St, London W1V 7FL, 020 7734 7700. Friday 31st March. On stage 10pm. £8 on the door. Entrance includes admission to club night "Chic" after the live show. Support from the retro electronic pop trio PawPaw.
The single The Collector was released by Paul Morley and James Banbury's boutique label ServiceAV to great reviews (MSN, Playlouder, Stylus Magazine) and was on the main XFM playlist through December.
A remix ep of The Collector is coming soon - including a mix by The Freelance Hellraiser. Nixey's solo album is currently being completed, and is due for release later in the year.
NOTE: If you fancy coming along for less than £8 then please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "nixey gig", and your name(s) in the email.
You'll get in for £5. Great.
