California based singer/songwriter Denny Brown and his label Avenue Communications announce the release of his "4th Of July" EP, which includes the title track plus three more originals, "On The Esplanade," "Gypsy Lane," and "Can't Go Home." The recording was produced by Erik Nielsen (Pointer Sisters, Queen Ida) and features an all-star band including Booker T Jones on organ and piano and David Grissom on guitar (John Mellencamp, Buddy Guy). The title track "4th Of July" is an uptempo love story that explodes inside the holiday setting of the song. Brown's roots rock sound was recently compared to John Mellencamp and James McMurtry.
Avenue Communications also announces plans for two more new full-length albums to follow the "4th Of July" EP. The next album is scheduled for Fall 2012 to be followed by another in spring 2013.
Two previous albums, "Crossing Through" (2009) and 'Coming On Home' (2012), are already in release. The "Coming On Home" title was shipped to radio this past winter and is currently receiving airplay support at roots rock radio stations nationwide, with standout tracks "Lizzie's Door" and "Payday Loan." Avenue Communications is available for licensing and distribution of the entire catalog.
Denny Brown and Avenue Communications have retained the services of David Bean at BeanBag1 Entertainment and subsidiary Artist Airplay Advisors, led by VP of Promotion J. P. Mosoff, for management and radio promotion.
