They're a bit Cocteau Twins if you ask me. They're fresh, young and lovely and visiting London from Brighton today. Come on down. Print out of this for a quid off.
Peace In The City presents an evening of exhilarating, melodic, somewhat leftfield indie rocknroll and pop with live music from 8 til 1130pm and DJs after til 4am.
Female-fronted atmospheric indie four-piece from Brighton, We Spies mix reverb-drenched, guitars with crisp rhythms and powerful vocals; Explosions in the Sky meets Blondie.
Roy Orbison ballads with J Mascis guitars
Velvet Stream are a female-fronted Pop/Rock band created in 2010 by vocalist Mataniu, guitarist Isaac Lee-Kronick and producer Freddy de Lord. With a vocal tone rich in past influences and a hint of her pacific roots, Mataniu delivers uplifting and addictive melodies over feel-good festival power-drums, driving bass lines, soaring electric guitar and hypnotic synths. Performing around London with recent members Anthony Lewis on drums and Dan Holloway on bass, Velvet Stream perform their distinctive and original songs with a passionate raw energy that will improve your life.
Fronted by half-Japanese songstress and vintage synth lover Hana Miya, their songs are beautiful, dreamy, melodic, punk-infused, high-energy rhythm with the attitude of a frisky fun-loving Jack Russell.
"Gazelle's music is a genre-bending mix of pop, middle eastern, and electronic music, drawing on her Turkish heritage and classically trained roots, the 19 year old puts on a show like no other."
After Wasted Youth clubnight with DJs til 4am playing an eclectic mix of indie and rock'n'roll classics and surprises from the 50's til today.
