South Street and doubledotdash!? presents
Liverpool's finest genre defying 2-7 piece mash up band. Absolutely jaw droppingly unmissable. As seen in the promo video for for Liverpool's (winning!) Capital of Culture bid and the daft Channel 4 Ralf Little sitcom "Massive".
from Lethargy issue #4 - "A glorious genre and instrument swapping comedy beast of a band, musically proficient, and hilariously theatrical, who cares if it’s art, this is entertainment. Sporting their own charming P.E. style uniform, playing music that lurches from spazz metal to gyspy folk to wonk pop all in one song, like a British Mr Bungle only somehow better."
Honey Ride Me A Goat
Jazz + punk = junk. Fantastically deranged jazz noise band - Like the family from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" all hooked on Miles Davis..
From Lethargy issue #1 - "I think it is worth pointing out for the purpose of this "review" that by this point in the evening I am properly pissed and jiggin' about like Father Jack at the disco. Honey Ride Me a Goat? Hic. I am a gibbering drunk and I love this band. Hic. They set up slap bang in the middle of the room to a crowd of about 15 people and they f*ckin go for it. You could die a messy, happy death to this band. The spirit of jazz with a great big punk boot up it's arse. LOUD and FAST and FUN, fingers all over the fretboard drum skitter spins me right round like a record baby. Rum n chillies churn in my stomach......their set comes to a close. We scream for more and they do an encore. Smokin'. They pack up their stuff and head off upstairs for a well deserved goat curry."
