Straight from wowing crowds on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds, WONDERSWAN have announced details of their debut single 'Furrrpile' which is to be released on new Leeds based label Good Form Club. Recorded with Ross McGowan (Dananananaykroyd, Copy Haho), Furrrpile perfectly showcases the Leeds' four piece's love of early 90s loud guitars and melodies, turning the topic of a bizarre sexual fetish into an amazing noise.
Highlighting the band's celebrated lo-fi ethos, b-sides 'Times Divide' and 'Cut It' were self-recorded by band on 4-track tape recorders, two quid microphones bought off eBay and pieced together on a laptop.
"A beautifully shambolic fuzz laden racket...the sound of beautiful chaos, Pavement meets Dinosaur Jr." The Guardian
"A pure piece of early 90’s nostalgia with laid back vocals and scuzzy guitars, full of melancholic optimism. In short, they sound like avid Pavement fans, but this can only be a good thing." P.i.X
To celebrate this momentous occasion, Wonderswan will be playing at Nation Of Shopkeepers, Leeds on Saturday 3rd October with support from The Medusa Snare and The Acutes.
