James Blackshaw + Stephanie Hladowski
James Blackshaw – 12 string supernatural velocity finger picking…
James Blackshaw has come a long way since his first underground CDRs back in 2004 (now rereleased by Tompkins Square). His talent on the 12-string is truly spell binding. The speed at which he plays is fascinating, but it’s not just the speed alone that is James’s talent, it’s the depth and composure in which he utilises it. Expect yours ears and mind to be nourished and to be taken to a calm centre.
Stephanie Hladowski – Brittish tradidtional song…
Another soon to be cherished British gem. Stephanie Hladowski has been part of the now disbanded Scatter. The last remains of which is a fantastic 10’’ Entitled ‘The High High Nest’. On it can be heard a clear smooth voice with well judged drones and medieval beats that may remind you of Shirley Collins.
