Wednesday 21st January
Peace In The City presents a night of atmospheric, dreamscapey, post rock, alt-rock and shoegaze. Live music from 8pm til 1045 and free jukebox and late bar until 2am. At The Good Ship, a very friendly venue with a huge selection of drinks, real ales are on tap, wine you can drink and none of those plastic glasses that lots of venues seem to specialise in! A ridiculously cheap £4 entry plus free ticket for forthcoming weekend show.
instrumental, atmospheric, sometimes dreamy, sometimes heavy post rock.
Taking on progressive influences from 70's experimental bands right through to modern electronic music, Sub Rosa are constantly trying to fuse together interesting ambient soundscapes, heavy riffs, melodic vocals and contagious rhythms to give audiences something alternative and interesting to listen to.
If an up-down-left-right pounding drum beat and groove-based guitar mayhem is your bag, come on in!
Thoughtful, progressive alt-rock.
