This Friday 16th November at 93 Feet East
Buttoned Down Liveshow presents:
93 Feet East, Brick Lane, London
Tubes: Aldgate East, Liverpool St.
here's the thing:
Opening things up in the Main Hall at 9.30pm are London based COBRA DUKES, who have been causing a few waves across London, playing some of the leading venues with their anthemic glamorous synthpop sounds. At 10.30pm we are joined by 586, who NME lovingly described as "LCD Soundsystem having a drunken go at The Fiery Furnaces". Playing the quirkier end of indie, they are a perfect band to dance to, with instantly likeable potential hits waiting to become dancefloor fillers. CHIK BUDO, playing at 11.30pm, first played for us supporting XX teens one year ago, and are now back with new songs under their belt, plus a revised line up and a few other surprises.. Chik Budo's music defies categorisation, but very loosely, they make instrumental alternative music but ditching the guitars in favour of saxophones. Having already blown crowds away at a whole variation of London gigs, this sees them play at peak party hour, and are simply not to be missed. GET SHAKES headline at 12.30am, this fantastic band from the Isle Of Wight have been making people dance with their infectious party anthems for most of this year, having had ace reviews in most major publications for the release of their debut 'Sister Self Doubt' single, this is going to be an excellent show to close the night. Club founder Dollyrocker plays between the bands, so dress to dance!
In the Pink Bar, Nikolas Esselle (Together) joins Buttoned Down Liveshow, playing the best new electro, dance and indie around. In a short space of time Nikolas Esselle has stamped his mark on the London club scene with appearences and residencies at some of the best clubnights in town. One of a new breed of DJs who combine technical excellence with a broad range of musical taste and experience. Enjoy!
