Liverpool Calling is organizing a VERY special event next Thursday, 15th November - PARIS CALLING @ Korova, when three fantastic French rock bands will be playing in Liverpool for the first time.
Doors 8pm, entry £3
NELSON (http://www.myspace.com/nelsonrock )
"French revolution is igniting across the channel earheaded by paris upstarts nelson"
"Nelson. These guys are the premier French art-popsters, and are a thousand times better than most of the Libertines influenced bands coming from Paris at the mo."
BROOKLYN (http://www.myspace.com/aboutbrooklyn )
One of the major acts in the new french rock scene. Providing unbeatable pop melodies crossed with intense and raw energy, they have now been remarked by both french and international press (Rock&Folk, Mixte, Crash, Vogue UK, Nylon, Guitarist Magazine, Dazed&Confused etc..), and chosen by Razorlight as support act for their 2007 french tour. "Volcanology" is the first extract of their upcoming debut album "Clandestine", with english producer Clive Martin (Stereophonics), and to be released on the spring 2008.
SHERAFF (http://www.myspace.com/sheraff )
High-energy garage rock band, Sheraff is the combination of 4 slightly (even completely) deranged graphic designers passionate about psychedelic image-making and convinced that rock and roll is not dead and that Elvis was just a harbinger prophet. About their sound, let’s just say a propensity to good-looking riffs, bloody rhythms and every women’s fantasies (The Hives, Queens Of The Stone Age, AC/DC, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion…). Sheraff definitely only stands for one thing: sound and power playing live, an overwhelming energy making you want to twist and shout.
3 exciting Liverpool bands:
Don't miss it! It's gonna be fantastic!
And remember - bands who are our myspace friends just pay £1.50 entry.
