It's like a festival indoors. Part 7 of The Good Ship Summer Saturday All Dayers on the 7th July when we have an indie, leftfield, angular, blissful, punky all dayer.
8 bands. Yes 8, from 530 til 1130 and then DJs after til 4am.
Super friendly crowd and in keeping with our policy of reasonable entry price it is just £5 all day and a super bargainous £3 before 6pm.
Take one cup of indie rock, a heaped teaspoon of angular pop, and one large sprig of punk attitude (finely chopped).
The Cut Outs 10
All female trio, like the Pixies when Kim Deal is singing. Sprightly and buzzing onstage, going places.
The Cartwheel Club 915
Driven by a dynamic of sibling rivalry, childhood allegiances and a healthy dissatisfaction with one another's record collections, thecartwheelclub create a thumping riff led energy, reminiscent of late 60s bands.
Very My Bloody Valentine, with a little bit of Mogwai going on.
The Bridport Dagger 745
Bridport Dagger are like Roy Orbison fronting a drug-deprived Godz in a condemned 1920's ballroom, whilst people sip moonshine from lead containers, as a train goes by in the background every 12 minutes.
Pop in the Flaming Lips and Pulp tradition.
The essence of David Axelrod and The Electric Prunes distilled into tabs of acid.
Melodic epics in the vein of Big Star and Neil Young.
