Catch, Old Street
This month is a special month as it Broccoli's first birthday at Catch so it's going to be a spectacular one.
Over the past year Broccoli has had on the finest handpicked bands from the North and South play at Catch, as well as bands from the USA and Canada.
Catch has acted as a home over the year, it’s loaded with charm plus Old Street is packed to the brim with hundreds of music lovers, all out to see bands they know and catch a gig of the bands they’re yet to know.
Playing live is the dazzling Ok KARAoKE ,The Fair Cries and Popular Workshop alongside East London band Havana Guns.
The Far Cries
Supported Hot Chip and British sea power, plus many more, as well as headlining the OCA festival in Tenerife October 2006.
"Catchy and abrasive, it pulses with energy and hooks. The songs get under your skin, immediate yet with enough depth that after the umpteenth play you're still trying to unravel the lyrics."
John Kennedy, XFM (Demo of the Month in Spill Magazine)
With influences spanning from Velvet Underground, Blondie, Jesus And Mary Chain, The Ronettes, The Kills, Raveonettes.
Ok Karaoke will be performing again at Indiesexual as we refuse to let the New Year start with out them; they are a truly remarkable band.
Once the bands have finished Indiesexual turns into a blinding club, this month special guest DJ set by OK KARAoKE’s Lady and The Tramp, playing a mix of Indie disco newbie’s to guilty electro pleasures and rockabilly hoedowns till 2am!
