Blame Garth Marenghi and his slimier-than-a-snail's-foot patter. Or maybe it's those constantly repeated seventies cop shows? Hell, blame CSS if you want to. Who's responsible isn't important: an obsession with Saturday Night Fever-inspired discotheque kitsch is currently sweeping the nation, and with it a whole new host of bands are popping up like replicas of Tony Manero's white suit in Peterborough Locano.
The most worying thing of all is that we know it's so very wrong and yet, like the suckers we are, we continue to fall hook, line and sinker for it every time.
Brighton's Kovak have been busy building up a name in their hometown for sometime now, thanks in no small way to their incendiary clubnight (Club Kovak) and a handbag full of glitzy tunes that sound like Alison Goldfrapp wrestling with the annoying one out of Scissor Sisters until submission is the only option for said nuisance.
'I Love The Dance Floor' is one of those tunes. It suckers you, with ease. Enjoy.
