Coming on like a Geordie Cribs glaring at Satan’s polaroids in their trouser pockets, ‘Super Heartbeats’ is the sound of the North rising up in a shared cry of love and angst whilst keeping the noise levels up to 110 and the tourette-ometer on standby as back up.
Indeed, listening to ‘Super Heartbeats’ is eerily reminiscent of the first time this very scribe discovered the fractured spleen punk pop of Idlewild many moons ago, and whilst it may not be the most original blueprint for a tune currently doing the rounds, it’s certainly one of the most infectious.
