Whilst Leeds' underground scene gets itself picked with a fine-tooth comb by London's A&R mafia, it's reassuring to know that some things never change.
Like our good friends at Wrath Records for instance, home to all things DIY, loud and downright good fun.
Continuing with their series of self-proclaimed vinyl Readers Digest for your ears comes this latest split seven-inch that sees the cream of Wakefield, Piskie Sits and The Old House, do battle with each other. In a civilised manner, of course.
It's a close call between the pair of 'em as The Old House's charmingly titled 'Relationships Hooray!' is as timeless in it's early Cure like riffage as it is for the line "...you are the one for me fatty - but only Morrissey would say something as great as that". But, just pipping it at the post are Piskie Sits, whose homage to all things City Slang circa 1992 'Props' buzzes around like a bee that's landed in too many glasses of Pimms on a hot day at Wimbledon and ended up supping the lot.
