Unchanged, undimmed, Funeral For A Friend drag themselves kicking and scream(o)ing back onto the frontline.
Rather expectedly, the first fruits from their LA sessions for LP no.2 reveal a 'not broken - dont fix' mentality, as 'Streetcar_' offers the usual collusion of metal riffing, nice little melodic harmonics and tuneful emosity (yes we made that word up).
It's the usual, well-honed break-up, never-make-up material and while it's not a classic in the vein of 'Juneau' or 'Escape Artists Never Die' it will certainly do as an opening gambit. It bodes well for their forthcoming 'Hours_' record - if all you want is more Funeral. Anyone waiting for progression may be left waiting a little while.
