When all eyes, and ears, are glued to all things post-hardcore, what better time is there for true underground punk rock heroes to emerge? Welcome Charlottefield; wave goodbye to your false idols.
It's all so simple on paper - Charlottefield are a punk rocking four-piece from the South, and this 7" is a prelude to a forthcoming mini-album, which'll also be released through Jonson Family, a label that earns more and more of my respect with every release (check this and this for more JFR greatness). What's special is the execution - 'Firewood' is a clattering cacophony of off-kilter punk rock chaos; a whirlwind of fury and rage. 'Loudmouth' is a blistering Ramones cover. Both rock. HARD. No, really, harder than that.
File next to This Ain't Vegas and The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg, ignite and watch the sparks fly.
