Following on from 2012 debut 'Ashes', Kyla releases 'Cut Your Teeth'. It was partly produced by Jakwob, Simian Mobile Disco's Jas Shaw and Daughter's Igor Haefeli. Standouts are the album's airy and sparse title-track and the carnivalesque 'The Knife'. the raspy vocals and electronic-based dark atmosphere are replaced by steel-pan drums and synthetic beats. The track is a lean, kaleidoscopic, slow-paced affair, with La Grange's angelic vocals enchanting the listener with her shrilling yet mellow voice.
