If you’ve refrained from taking advantage of more illegal means of hearing this thus far in 2011, you really have no excuse not to listen to this subtly charming record.»

re-released in the uk on weird world on marshmallow yellow vinyl. fantastic album of kraut-dub rhythms and groove wave that sounds like a long lost on u sounds classic from back in the day. sophomore album by this madison, wi kraut-dub soundsystem super family is easily the greatest set of tranced post-reggae hyno-pop they've ever recorded / released. peaking lights always pull its listeners into a faded polaroid of the pacific ocean whenever the ethereal pop sensibilities of vocalist-keyboardist indra dunis join forces with the reverberated guitar and twitching sonics of aaron coyes. the album is crawling with warm sounds from electrical frankenstein coyes' suitcases of self-rewired household electronics, rewired guitar pedals, and manipulated thrift-store keyboards.
