'o brother, where art thou?' is the soundtrack of music from the 2000 film of the same name, written, directed and produced by the coen brothers and starring george clooney, john turturro, tim blake nelson and john goodman. the score, produced by 12 time grammy award and academy award winner t bone burnett, prominently features bluegrass, gospel, blues, country and even americana. produced by legendary 12 time grammy award and academy award winner t bone burnett - who was personally involved in all aspects of this deluxe release as well. the deluxe edition features a 17-track bonus disc - including 13 never before available on any format. the thirteen newly released songs were recorded during original sessions for the film, all except one went unheard on-screen. the new songs features artists who appeared on the original album (john hartford, norman blake, the fairfield four, the cox family and the peasall sisters) plus some who did not (colin linden, alan o'bryant, ed lewis and van dyke parks). brought together to introduce new fans to this great music and reward long time fans with a new treasure trove of musical gems from the original sessions.
