'rewild' is the stunning debut album from brooklyn's amazing baby, a band who 'fully live up to their name' according to the independent. hailing from brooklyn the band are found within good company, yet the 5 some manage to effortlessly combine the cool punk-disco of their friends mgmt and the ambient folktronica meets latterday power balladry of their other local cohorts chairlift. capable of being simultaneously epic and anthemic, amazing baby have crafted a richly detailed sound that incorporates psych, folk, prog, funk and pop. with production drawing on the influences of brian eno and lindsay buckingham, the band have managed to capture the lush intricacy of their songs whilst not losing the choral majesty almost analogous to queen. with the celestial bliss-rock of head dress, and the narwhal (which sounds like t rex on the moon) the band have crafted something very special indeed.
having already opened for bloc party, mgmt, the virgins, and violens, the buzz about amazing baby has already reached great proportions. their blend of black sabbath riffs, california desert haze, brooklyn charm and unstoppable melodies, has already earned them great praise across the board and with festival slots across uk and europe this june / july the summer is set to be amazing.
