Dr Love

Label: Modular Release Date: 22/10/2007

27907
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver October 17th, 2007

Ain’t no shame in professing a love for the funk, y’know; those days, they’ve gone, and embracing of pleasures deemed guilty is everyday and widespread. Bumblebeez know this: ‘Dr Love’ is mercilessly fun, the f-word of choice running wild in its veins like a fiery infection. It’s Midnite Vultures’ sexiest jams for today’s neon-clad club-hopping handful-popping slick kids.

And it’s very, very silly, which is precisely why it’s several shades of brilliant. A little ‘Planet Rock’, a little B-52’s, a little Super Mario, a lot of kickin’ it: ‘Dr Love’ will have you losing your shit on a Friday night given stinking booze enough and a snaking trickle or two of sweat sparkling under dual disco balls. Pounding, incessant, groovy and just a little bit dirty, it’s a super single that tickles the toes of pop with a wicked grin across its mug.

Do the d-a-n-c-e and make some new friends: it’s all naked Twister and vodka jellies round these Aussies’ pad.
