The Rakes to play approx 8061 gigs
shadyadie by [redacted] June 30th, 2004
OK, make that 10 gigs up until Aug 6th.

Rah rah rah, we love hip and trendy London punk rock beat combo The Rakes (not from New Cross). This is where you can see them play:

JULY
3rd London Barfly ('Kill 'Em All')
5th London Islington Academy (Fierce Panda 'On The Buzzes' EP launch with The Rocks, S. Rock Levinson, The Souls, and Ludes + Razorlight DJs)
8th London The Kilburn
9th London The Verge (with Neils Children)
11th Leeds (that's right, LEEDS) Brunell Social Club (supporting The Futureheads)
15th London Bethnal Green Working Men's Club (supporting The Futureheads)
24th London The Laboratory, Commercial Road E1
30th London Canvass, Kings X ('Kill All Hippies', supporting Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster)

AUGUST
1st London Brixton Windmill (DiS BBQ*) << bold text = important
6th London Barfly ('Queens of Noize')

The Rakes are set to release their second single, 'Strasbourg', sometime in August.

* Yes, we're having another BBQ and it's only £4 for six bands and lotsa food. Other bands set to play are The Cribs, The Boyfriends, Drat, Nun Of The Above and The Cobra. More on that some other time.
