It will be released on Dec 15th, the same day The Darkness release their Xmas single, 'Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)/Friday Night'.
Going under the name Diff'rent Darkness (obviously), and available on CD and 7", it will contain hideous lo-fi electroclash versions of 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love', 'Get Your Hands Off My Woman', and 'Love On The Rocks With No Ice'.
The Darkness are still bookies favourite for the Xmas No. 1 slot. Other contenders include the Pop Idol finalists, who are releasing a version of 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)', Avid Merrion, Four Poofs And A Piano (from the Jonathan Ross show), and Sugababes.
