After the success of last year's Best of, avant icon Björk is hard at work in her homeland of Iceland, on her 6th solo album.
The exact location, producer, etc is all pretty much unknown but her official website, bjork.com, has confirmed the title of the album will be 'The Lake Album'. And rumours circling the web suggest the album will be out in October.
There's also news of some Björk shows including echoey whispers about "a very special outdoor show in New York" (more news when we get it!), plus these confirmed European summer festivals, which sound well worth getting a cheap flight out to..

We expect Björk will announce a performance at Glastonbury or maybe Reading in the next few weeks. It's not known whether she will be taking her Eskimo Choir on the road this time around.
In other Björk Gudmundsdottir news, she will have a new book out on April 1st entitled 'Wow and Flutter!' This biography is written by Mark Pytlik and tells the tale of her life so far.
DiScuss: Did you see 'Dancer in the Dark' on Channel 4 a while back? What did you think? Should she do more movies?
