Ironic, mega-rock stars, Tenacious D (aka comedy combo Jack Black (High Fidelity) and Kyle Gass) have teamed up with wudevah-man Liam Lynch for a film.
President of movies makers New Line production Toby Emmerich, had this to say about the movie "I see this movie falling somewhere between 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'This Is Spinal Tap.'"
Reports that have come out this week suggest this movie is a "creation" tale telling how they became, the self-proclaimed, "greatest band on Earth". And rumour has it Dave Grohl will be in this flick, adding to his overloaded diary.
Tickets for their upcoming UK dates are onsale now:
14 March Manchester Apollo
16 March Edinburgh Corn Exchange
18 March Dublin Olympia Theatre
Also, Jack Black is currently being shot for the new Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, Slacker..) movie called 'School of Rock'. The movies about a hell-raising guitarist (Black), desperate for work, impersonates a substitute teacher and turns a class of fifth grade high-achievers onto RnR!
