'The Complete Works Volume 1' is due on April 15th from Spaceman (Arista) Records. The set will feature 24 tracks slid off from the band's first four years of old singles, EPs, special pressings, and promotional releases, 1990-1993.
Spiritualized frontman/dictator Jason Pierce personally selected each of the tracks, including the band's June 1990 debut single The Troggs cover 'Any Way That You Want Me' and b-side 'Step Into the Breeze (Part 1)' A whole three versions of the rare original 'Feel So Sad' are included in the set with the 7-inch single version, a 13-minute take and a six-minute version.
This all comes after Spiritualized's last album 'Let It Come Down' a year and a half ago and with a name live '... volume 1' you kind of know there are other volumes planned, and really, it shouldn't take Linkin Park and Pulp to tell you that Greatest Hits packages sell worse than remix albums, which this really is, rarities aside.
