Music fans that used the shuttle bus service at this year's Leeds Festival have played a part in the raising of £10,000 for charity.
Festival organisers have announced that the money collected from bus fares is to be given to the city's St Martin's Hospice. The money will be handed over on November 24th.
Roughly 30 per cent of attendees used the bus service, instead of driving themselves to the site. The use of the bus not only helped the hospice, but reduced the environmental impact of the festival.
A statement from Mean Fiddler says: "We would like to thank all festival goers for recognising the 'green' message of the festival and showing support for Mean Fiddler's attempts to have as little environmental impact as possible throughout the weekend."
