Now, we don't normally do these sort of "remix of X by person Y" type articles but today we make an exception. Firstly, we make an exception because it is Leeds Day on DiS and the band in question here are very much from Leeds. Secondly, we make an exception because the remix is abso-fucking-lutely fantastic. It may even be - whisper it - better than the original. That takes some doing, by the way.
Anyway, as you can readily work out from the headline, it's a remix of Sky Larkin's 'Year Dot', which is taken from their current full-length record Kaleide. It's NINE minutes long and really wriggles its way around your ear-lobes into the part of the brain where the music goes. Frontal lobe? Not sure. The best you could do it listen to the Minotaur Shock remix, in all honesty. It really brings out Katie Harkin's voice, too, which is no bad thing. Click here to get your hands on it.
