It may be an uncommon tactic, but Interpol's new and fourth album will be self-titled. We were told earlier in the year that the release date for the album would be the week of September 13 but that's all changed now. Well, not all changed, but at least put forward by a week so the it'll now come out on September 7 in the US.
The reason for this? We have no true idea, but it's pleasing at least. You may have already read that bassist Carlos Dengler left the band in recent months, and he's been replaced by David Pajo. If you hadn't read that you have now, so scratch him out of your mind when looking at this article's main photo. Also joining in on the Interpol touring bus is keyboardist Brandon Curtis. Welcome, welcome.
On top of all that, the band have also released a brand new video, for 'Lights', which you can watch 'after the drop', whatever that means. It's below, though, so do click it. You can also download the MP3 of it from here. That's been around a while.
