Ever since Titus Andronicus's newest record came out we've been wondering several things. Firstly "how do you go about writing a record around The American Civil War?"...what's the starting point? 1861? When in 1861? Secondly, "how bloody good is this record, eh?". Answer - it's very, very good.
Anyway, they will blow away the cobwebs from any of your aural orifices if you see them live, that's pretty much a guarantee. Not a money back guarantee, but a guarantee nonetheless. We stumbled across this wonderful video of the performing in Hoboken, New Jersey, as filmed and produced by the equally wonderful Sight & Sound. Watch it below (via TwentyFourBit). Of course, the band are from Hoboken, so it acts very much as home turf. Just so you know.
The band recently finished a tour of Europe but, fortunately for those of an American persuasion, they've just extended their Autumn/Fall tour of those United States, the dates of which can be read on their MySpace.
