New actual Joanna Newsom album art revealed
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater February 1st, 2010

So, you remember last week when those details about Joanna Newsom's new album, Have One On Me 'dropped'? Yeah. Good news and all that, but wasn't the album art a bit...dull? Uninspired? Bland? Just plain old shit? And Tacky?

Who'd be happy with something like this? Especially when compared to the extravagant composition that was on the front of Ys.

Not me. Anyway, the very good news is that the minimalistic work that was apparently supposed to be the real one actually isn't. Thankfully. What it really is, is the busy and slightly confusing version below. Still with the shit font.

Have One On Me

BETTER. I wish I could work out what it all means, if indeed it means anything. I'm going to say not. Apart from the six-foot tall peacock, who looks reasonably arrogant.

Have One On Me will be released on February 22 through Drag City in the US and on March 1 through Domino (?) in the UK, and contains (some) of the following tracks.

'Jack Rabbits (Love You Again)'
'Have One On Me'
'Ribbon Bows'
'In California'
'Easy'
'Autumn'
'81'
