Did you buy a ticket to a festival this year and not get it? That's possibly because the company in question was liquidated.
Today, five of those responsible have been arrested. In particular, the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is launching an investigation into Xclusive Tickets, and is looking for those affected to contact them. The arrests have been made after the SFO managed to trace the activity back to the parent company Xclusive Leisure and Hospitality Limited, which is registered to an address in Southwark, in South London.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's You and Yours programme earlier today, SFO director Richard Alderman said that he was appealing for some 4,000 people who failed to receive 18,000 tickets for events, including festivals, to make contact. He said that more than 2,500 people who purchased Reading, Leeds and V Festival tickets from the company were affected.
